BBG, I could be wrong, but I honestly don't believe they think in this way. That must have been horrible to find her....

oh it was.

I felt so bad because she was so sweet before they attacked her. Then to spend so much time to get her better, intergrate her back into the flock, to find her like that...was terrible. I only asked because she only wanted to hang out with this particular hen (who raised her) and when momma hen decided to brood again, she would stuff herself in the nest box at night with her which didn't seem to be a problem. During the day, however, not one hen gets near that nestbox. It was all very strange and very sad.

That was my only loss. My girls braved the heat this summer brilliantly but I think I was a little smarter this time around too.

Speaking of disco (or not

) I'm wondering what kind of music do y'all like?
Can't say that I liked disco music, but it did get the ladies back to wearing dresses at the clubs.

I like all kinds except opera and rap. I'm fond of big band, swing and Texas swing. My collection ranges from Paula Abdul to ZZ Top. Profilers could make a career of me.

If I'm in the coop/garage, my hens are getting music. They used to have cable TV until the TV went kaput.

RaZ... I am in the process of making one

I seriously have an illness... I want to take my chickens everywhere!

Chickflick... That is awful!... I can't believe it is August already... What happened to the year? I think I am all messed up from the strange weather...???

My dad went to Dundee and was picking up a sewing machine that he was hoping would be strong enough for boat covers and seats... surger...is that what they are called?
Anywho... now I have a huge sewing machine in my garage

I have no idea where I am going to put this thing but I intend to finish 7 memorial quilts for a friend of a friend.

But here is the big question... does anyone have a machine (that my dad wants) that you would like to get rid of?

The one in my garage is not strong enough and the people were hurting for the money, so he bought it knowing he couldn't use it.

What is the make and model number of the machine in your garage? Most sergers (aka overlocks) are light or medium duty used in the clothing industry.
Finding a good used industrial sewing machine for seats and boat covers is difficult. I've been looking for years for a specific type and haven't found what I want. My personal favourite is the Juki LU-562 R.
