The trick was to use poly plastic to allow the snow to slide off or keep up on manually removing.....

.....and/or cross brace the arc for extra support....
.....and/or use hog panels instead of others, more rods so much stiffer.

I was wondering if anyone is raising barnevelder chickens. I wasn’t planning to get any chicks this year, but would love to maybe see if a broody hen would hatch a couple. I don’t have a roo though.

Sounds like mostly he just needs help with stuff, wish he was closer. And the government taking his money and not giving it back must make things especially tough.

Yeah, that's what scares me. Said he was broker than broke. He just got the house. And no money. How frustrating for him. Like to know what that is all about. Taking his money and not giving it back! Well, I hope things turn around for him soon

Glad our run is covered. came home from shopping and there was a beautiful coopers hawk sitting in the tree above the run. Sorry Mr. cooper no chicken for lunch today,
