Better change your name then.
Yes, I guess I should,,,, snowflake was my first sussex hen to die, she was so sweet. I still have one of her offspring, getting very old, this will be her last year. she is starting to sleep in the nesting box, so I don't think she feels well. she must be 9 or 10

Hmm. Sounds like the gears are slipping a little. Hope she has family close by.
sounds like that or dimensha. But tomorrow is Valentines day so maybe Raz should bring her some chocolate;)
She has Alzheimer's. Sad. I do hope that she has family checking in on her. Me and my dog go to visit once a week at a memory care facility. It's so sad to see the decline of these awesome folks. These folks had full active lives and now are being robbed of their memories. They don't remember their kids. Last week I had three people ask me where the other dog was. Kept insisting that that wasn't Fancy. It was just weird that 3 different people did the same thing. Don't be upset with her, RaZ. She can't help it.
chick, do you know the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia? curious as I have heard Alzheimer's goes very fast and dementia goes very slow. members of my family have been said to have Alzheimer's( not diagnosed) I think it is early onset dementia as it has been going on for 7 years or so and they are still functioning fairly well. Can't really find an answer on line. Dr.'s don't want to commit either. So I am kind of taking a survey....Opa's friend seemed to go down hill rather fast.

Alzheimer's is one of many forms of dementia. Any of them can progress quickly or slowly. Each affects the brain a little differently. All are sad :(
I think this is more accurate then most what I hear. It all depends on what the Dr. wants to call it. Many people in my family have had "Alzheimer's." but I think because 5 of my dads 6 sisters were said to have Alzheimer's as soon as the signs of forgetfulness appear every one panics and predicts Alzheimer's. some have been 10yrs or more before a lot of help has been needed. most have been 65-75 before the forgetfulness becomes obvious. and yes it is so sad to see people not recognize loved ones.

Busted up enough ice to open up the arena door so that we could get a delivery of sawdust in. went to go get the tractor so that I could plow it all out and the gorram thing didn't want to start for me today. I still hate that Gorram POS!!!! :he:he:he:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

But in other news my new work boots have arrived. They were supposed to get delivered on Friday but they got to the distribution center in Saline to get put on a truck and that's about as far as they got that day. Should have been able to do it Saturday but I guess FedEx wasn't feeling like sending trucks out that day, at least not out to Clinton.

If I haven't given chocolate to any of you ladies here. then what makes you think I'd give chocolate to someone else?
Besides, I plow her 2 houses and I broke a weld on my blade yesterday. That'll cost me a lot of Snickers bars to repair.
She is a neighbor and it is such a joy to have neighbors that aren't calling the cops or ordinance Nazi every other day.
Hey Matt, it takes a special truck to deliver the boats you call boots. Permits and all. ;)

In other news, I had an epiphany today. Fill the 3 gallon heated waterer in the bathtub. Faster fill and turning it over slops in the tub and not on the floor. Why didn't I think of that months ago? :barnie

It's supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow and nice for the next few days. Have to make a trip to the city to get this blasted cast removed. Cross your fingers that I don't need another one. :fl
