Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Gotta be an easier solution than always trying to have a couple of bricks nearby to have them there to hold up the bucket up off its nipples.
There is....horizontal nipples! Worst thing about the vertical ones, besides the leaking, is that you can't set the damn thing down. HN's are much better for winter heating too.

My TSC has chicks too, they started the second chick days last year I think. The manager hates it, he hates a lot of things chicken say they should come 'wrapped and ready to cook'. Going to switch to another TSC, a bit farther away but hopefully fresher feed and better attitude.

I would do the same........though I have not gone to one of those stores in favor of supporting my small town mill a few miles away. I called them this morning and asked if they could pull my feed order and have it ready for me to pick up, paid over the phone and it was not only ready at the door when I got there, when I walked in and grabbed the first bag, three other guys grabbed the others and I was in and out in less than a minute! Wont get that kind of service with a TSC store!

We'll try to find an adult to accompany you. Not sure any of the enablers on here would work out that well :D
This comment, ladies and gentlemen, is from the same person who drove from the UP to Lansing just to bring me a pair of hens. Then takes a photo and posts it on the old Michigan page.
BYC should rename this the "Michigan Enablers Thread".

I too support my local mill. The CO-OP also has a lumber yard. I can buy fuel at their station across the street.
I do like TSC, ever since I was working/living in Nashville. I was right next to their HQ and met a bunch of folks there. Everyone I met was extremely nice. The TSC in Bad Axe has a terrific staff and the manager did an outstanding job of helping me solve a problem with my snow plow that was a warranty issue that wasn't being fixed by the supplying company.
Bottom line, I try to support the local businesses as much as I can. Especially when they provide great service and give back to the community.
Now if I could only find a job around here. :hmm

The drought continues here! Not that I can complain, not living is wildfire country, but still, some rain would be nice.
Yesterday eight more birds went to the auction, including four cute bantam cockerels, just starting to crow. Can't keep everyone!
Now the unexpected ten BLR Wyandotte chicks can be out with the flock, first time today. Those missing cockerels, a few weeks older, were picking on the babies too much. It's peaceful now, everyone together. Yes!
I'll likely have some BLR Wyandottes to go in another month or so, when I can sort them out better. So far, at least two cockerels, and it's too much to expect that there won't be more.
