Something quite strange is going on around here.
As you know, all of my adult birds were taken by predators several weeks/months ago. Today I found 4 brown eggs in the old tent coop. I haven't heard or seen any chickens roaming around.
I'm guessing 1 or 2 hens have gone feral or something. I'm going to move the game camera to view the old coop.

PS I started a part-time job at the nearby lumber yard. One day a week as a stock boy. I'm finally putting that college education to use.

Funny that you say that. A few months ago, I received a letter from the GC court that said my probation period was over. Apparently I have been on secret probation since 2009.

Not sure about a discount yet, but I hope so.

I'm not sure I want a lot of hours. I have so much work to do here. At least the people there are really cool.

Monday. I have to go down to the GC house. It was listed and sold this week. The GC Ordinance Nazi heard about it and took steps to block the sale. I won't go in to details here. But it means a trip down to address the issue(s) and engage an attorney.

You would think GC would want to totally get rid of you and let the sale go through. Man, that city is so backwards!. Who in the hell wants to live there?

Little Sister, my first BCMxCCL pullet, is checking out nests this afternoon...first egg could be very, very soon!

Heard a big egg song ruckus and ran down to see.....no egg but Willie watching over her is good sign the first egg is imminent. Wonder if she'll get it out yet today? As a guaranteed Olive Egger I am very anxious/excited to see how dark the color will be.
Got a pretty nice pic of the scenario, she's on the nest bank perch.

A normal person would think so. Trouble is, the ordinance nazi has a personal beef.
I find it rather funny that as soon as the sale was published that this occurred.
There is nothing wrong with that house other than being vacant.
I'll be talking to the new city manager about this issue. And meeting with a lawyer right after.
