Gorgeous!
Interesting the difference in beak color.
I'm sure there is a standard for show birds. But these peepers are hatchery stock. I don't care, I just love that blue-grey colour that is called lavender. Mutt corrupted me several years ago when she gave me 2 lavender bantams.
That colour and being orps hooked me. My favourite breed and favourite colour. A win/win for sure.

Funny how you get about having a favourite breed and colour.

@JanetMarie
We have 2 regular maples on the driveway. What about the crimson maples? Can you tap those? There are 2 of them in the yard.

Otherwise I'd have to trek around in the woods and see what's out there.

I guess you could just show me on your trees when you tap one. Or are they already tapped?

beautiful chicks!

My one barred rock is still not feeling well. She eats really good. But, just sits in the brooder all hunched over with tail down and sleepy. Wonder if she has a bad heart. Her poops are watery. Given her save a chick a couple of times. Just don't know what to do for her.

Sure is an ugly day. Bummed because the snow on the neighbors hill has melted and I can't go sledding. I'm willing to wait until next year.....

Garage flooded with all the rain on the frozen ground, at least the under-run didn't flood.
Got the garage all mopped(vacuumed) up,
then spilled an entire cup of coffee on the kitchen counter and floor.
At least it wasn't the last cup....but still :rant

Come on up here, Rose, you can sled all you want. We got another five or six inches of super dense heavy wet white stuff on top of the several feet we are still blessed with. We just have lots and lots of snow.

Not sure on Crimson... I've heard you can tap walnut too, but, not sure if mixing saps will give an odd flavor. Does anyone remember the ratio of how much sap vs syrup you get?

We had a river going through the bottom of our yard. Luckily we dug a trench a couple summers ago to help divert all the water otherwise my sheep and pig would be wading! The only bad spots left are some large patches of ice, and those are mostly on the drive way.

Those are what I'm looking to get too Raz, I love that color. Did you say you got them at FFH? I'll have to check them out in my area too! I do have a hen that wants to be broody, though I keep taking the eggs, it was kinda nice cause I've only lost a couple eggs to freezing, she's keeping them warm for me! lol! Finally got a new tire for the wheel barrow so I can clean the coop! :sick
