Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Doesn't RaZ, and some others from here, do their chatting on a FB page??
Yes and no. FB is for goofing around with friends that don't have poultry. It seems that my real friends are bird people and chat here.
Real life has kicked my tail feathers pretty hard lately. It's difficult to chat when one's interweb has been discontinued. Just got it back the other day but I didn't go into details.
Chickens are all fine. So are the dogs and cats. At least they all have full feed bowls.

Ah...glad you're back!
I kind of freak when my net goes down...which is kind of freaky.
I can do without the web. For the most part anyway.
I like how it connects me with friends from all over the state. Especially here on BYC.
However, it also demonstrates just how alone I am here. Not complaining...just observing.

It's about privacy, and nature, and not having close neighbors.
It's also about not having children in elementary school, or joining lots of local clubs.
Privacy is a good thing, and true friends are precious.

The interesting thing here is just how much privacy you actually have, the few neighbors I have seem to think that my business is part of their concern.
Not that they want to help. just that they want something to gossip about.

People Gossip nuff said. I have been absent with all the work. Lots of baby goats for sale. Finally sold the last of the rabbits. Chicks are .50 at TSC and we may start a new flock as the old girls are about done. A dozen ducks eggs a day is more than I need but that's all I eat. What else? Who needs produce? I'm just feeding mine to critters and what I sell goes to the Alzheimer Walk Fund including all animals sales up till the Muskegon walk on the 21st. Oh, a calico kitten somehow took up residence in my barn. I have to keep my cats out or she'll get killed. Maybe I can coax her with food. Busy, busy. Cindy's making Eggplant Lasagna with the eggplants she grew...YUM! I'm hungry.

Wow Chickflick was not kidding. It's pretty quiet here. What do they say about paradigm shifts? Remember that you don't always know what's going on in other peoples lives. Be positive if not for yourself but those around you. Honey attracts bees. So who's getting new chicks?

There are hopefully four or five EE bantams hatching out now in Bret's incubator. Hope so! And I have one lone broody raised EE bantam who's three weeks old, and then the few Cornishx in the brooder.
Today one of our all weather hydrants got replaced, a miserable digging project done by our son, bless him! The hydrants are essential for winter, when they work, and all four of ours have been replaced over the years. :barnie
The Lions snatched defeat, or at least a miserable tie, out of the jaws of victory. Again.
MSU had a good day though!!!
