Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

NP Mary, it did make me take a second look. When you consider how quickly I got them home and then went away for a week. Just know that they made a smooth transition to their new home. All birds are mite-free and relaxed in the new digs.
I'm going to have to get some mealworms for them. The big girls come when called, the young ones? Not so much. I have to fix that. 😁

Glad you are feeling good. You always heal faster at home, especially watching all the shows the chickens put on! Thought I had lost one of my young girls last night. I have been going out after dark to move them to the big girl roost in the main coop. Couldn't find Jackie 2.0. She had managed to find the one small opening to the rafters! I found her when I finally looked UP! Had to get the two step stool to get her down. Silly girl!

So here I am sitting in a chair on the porch. Enjoying the mild temperature and breeze making the wind-chimes move about. The radio is playing the Sunday morning easy programme. Devil dog is lying calmly on the porch beside my chair. Coffee has been drunk and I am so relaxed right now. This is the first time since I moved here that I haven't been doing something.
I guess all it took was a little open heart surgery.
Enjoy the day, ya'll.

Here is shot of Big Boy watching over his girls. That rooster is huge. He really makes the hens look small.
All hens laid an egg today. They were off while I was in hospital. The farm is back to normal.

We miss him here, it's great to see him happy with you!

He is so good here. Keeps a good eye on the hens. He crows some in the morning before being let out of the coop. Then he is quiet the rest of the day. Little Boy and his harem hide out in the woods behind the coop. Safe from aerial predators.

The eagle made a pass over while I was on the tractor. There wasn't a chicken in sight. Roos doing their job. :thumbsup
