This no kill shelter our beautiful state just helped a local police department in the suezure of 143+ dogs and their puppies, as well 18 horses from a horriffic puppy mill case. The dogs are in horrible condition, and the shelter needs all the help they can get! The majority of the adult dogs are either pregnant, or with puppies, and have been exploited their entire lives! The animals are still on police hold, so they will put up a post when they are avaliable for adoption. Right now, what they need the most is monetary donations to pay for medical care, grooming, food, bedding, spay/neuter, and more. So far they have raised nearly about $95,000, and they need more! Including the pups to come, this tiny shelter will be juggling nearly 300 animals! Even the smallest donation makes a difference!

@Annemade congrats on your latest layer! My white leghorn laid her first egg today! I now have 2 laying. She thinks she’s laying a golf ball :D.

Love these little critters!

60 days and counting to the new coop and house. I’m more excited for the ladies than I am for me:) hope everyone is enjoying the milder temps!

Oh RaZ! They are adorable and so hard to resist.
Adorable? Yes. But I did have a plan for Khakis in the early spring...just no body had them. I was good though, I only got 3 even though that had more available. Trouble is that after not getting any in spring, I took the brooder down from the coop. Now I have to rework it into the coop since I changed the layout. At least I have Monday & Tuesday off to do that and get the duckies out of the cardboard box they are in right now.
