Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

There is always the east side of the state. Around the thumb and Saginaw Bay and on up the "sunrise" side up to Alpena. Not so city-fied thata ways. I found a nice place for myself and my critters.
I have been looking at Alpena and North of there, but I know less about that part of the state. My sister lived in Oakland county when I was a kid and I spent my summers there, but it's really different there now. My search so far is I can find a home that I like in just about every community and in my price range, so now it's fine tuning to look for land and the ability to do the things that I like, like chicken keeping.

Finished winterizing the coop this afternoon. DS got home from work in daylight, and put up the plastic wrap on the south and east sides of the run. I'm not so interested in working on ladders, especially outside, any more, so waited for him to do it.
Also got the trench (gutter?) in front of the garage cleaned out before it freezes. Only a couple more things to do tomorrow...
Then, on to indoor painting!

It snowed gently all afternoon, no rain. Loved it! Nothing really stuck to the ground, and so much better than freezing rain.
I didn't watch the Lion's game, fortunately. Right now the Packers are ahead, yahoo!
One missing hen tonight when locking the coop. Looked, no luck. If she's setting on eggs, too many predators to do well. Maybe tomorrow she'll turn up. maybe.
