Need to rehome my 3 banty Red Pyle hens. About a year old...lay small pinkish eggs. Located near lansing. asking $10 for the trio!  They are just not mixing well with my flock...the sussex are trying to eat them LOL

We are always on the look out for Cloverbud sized bantams for 4H...do you still have these ladies?

Happiness is all in the mind.

Bry was walking Bell, my two year Beagle best friend, Last Friday. He let her off leash to get a bit more exercise. She ran off ( after a deer?) He searched for hours to find her for two days. She has been gone for up to six days at a time in the past, and this time she was not far from home so we were concerned but not excessively. As days past, concern deepened. Yesterday as I was vacuuming the living room, I began to suck up the hair/dust around the base of her cage when a flood gate opened and I cried uncontrollably. I retreated to the bedroom to suffer in solitude, Didn't want Jo to see me in such A state (Even after 55 years of living together) Brought myself under control after five minutes or so of unabashed sobbing and returned to the days activities. Washed the newly installed kitchen flooring, did some dishes, and throughout the day broke into tears occasionally. That was beginning to puzzle me. I love Bell but... This was crazy. !!!

Suddenly !!!

I always set up my daily meds in two dispenser boxes of one week each. except last time, two weeks ago when i had run out of the new one Celebrex. Not having a drug like that, when the body/mind is dependent sets up strange and undesirable consequences.

Do not let it happen to you. Learn from my mistakes. Many others have.

Bell is still gone. But I'm not crying today.

My kids always have those cheep little drawing pads and we are always having pencils now that the oldest is in school and has homework... A few months back there was just a little contest amongst ourselves on Derp's thread... So, just pick up something and draw is about all I can do when the mood strikes, so I totally agree, even if its on a napkin...

Definitely not the caliber of Silly's, but I am more of a paint type person...

I think it's great! would love to see a painting!

I have 2 Welsh Harlequin drakes and 6 Fawn and White Indian runner ducks. I THINK there are 4 hens and 2 drakes in the indian runners, but I could be wrong. These Hatched Sept. 10-11. I am asking $5 each with a discount if anyone wants more than 1! I just don't want to keep so many!

Have you and Sillychicken thought of ARTPRIZE in Grand Rapids? Artprize.org The lady who won this year used a #2 pencil and paper and sketched elephants on the wall of the Grand Rapids Art museum! It is still hanging there!

Ok, some of you may remember that a couple weeks back I decided to start work on a new coop made with wooden pallets.... Well, with this being our first adventure of this type we decided that it might not be the best way to go LOL. After finally getting 3 or 4 good pallets rebuilt we decided that it was just going to be WAY too much work. Maybe one day I will be able to do that. We have a friend who was remodeling a barn to make into a quilt shop. We were offered the lumber from inside. So, this weekend we will be starting to work on finishing the coop using some plywood and 2x4's. Should make the job a bit easier! LOL Hope everyone is doing well!
