A friend of mine just referred to "engineered chaos" today.

I have some 40 years of that experience.
Rules are meant to be broken. LOL

Was super amazing day out

Got my gardening stuff out and was able to plant some seeds to start growing in the house
Read my book outside in the swing chair with my cat on my lap
Had a campfire and was able to burn up a lot of wood from all the dead trees
Cleaned out the woods
Started assembling stuff for the coop
And even scored some pallets from the dealership near my house

Super successful day. Even the ducks got clean straw and some pool time. Happy happy Saturday

Good morning everybody. Don't know if anyone is up yet. Had a goodnight sleep for once!

Today is supposed to be another sunny day so I'll probably be outside and working around the yard

I spent the beautiful day in a hot stuffy gym watching my granddaughter compete in a Regionals gymnastic meet. Her team did great. They are the champs!! Now to the State meet. Today, on this beautiful day, I will be helping a different granddaughter build a castle out of cardboard boxes for an art project for school. Maybe we'll be able to do it outside

Also I have TONS of wood more than I know what to do with. Does anybody need or would like some firewood. There's plenty of it

And to celebrate their new status, the got out! (My fault; thought I had closed the run door, but didn't.) It took an hour to get them all back inside. Everyone is safe and sound; I got frazzled nerves, but I'll be more careful now, won't I? (I said, won't I?)

What a beautiful weekend. I had Saturday off and worked all around the yard. Did some wiring in the garage and didn't electrocute myself. Put in a 220V circuit for the stove. The stove is for baking the finish of my powder coating system, not for cooking. LOL Also cut trim for the windows and doors.
Then I turned the compost heap. So glad I have the tractor. Darn pile is 8 feet tall. So much black gold in that pile. I'll let it cook for another month or 6 weeks before I add it to the garden. Also did some landscaping with rocks. I have so many rocks on this property. Ranging from tennis ball size to 1000 pounders. Even a few that I can't pick up with the tractor. Then 50 feet from the garage is fine, sugar sand. Go figure. This place is an earth scientist's wet dream. Glacial deposits, pressure ridges, sand, clay, and even limestone sink holes. And the trees. Oh my the trees. Mixed evergreens with old growth hardwoods. Trees that survived the great fire in the late 1800's. Too bad all of the ash trees are dead now.

Yep, it was a great weekend to be alive and enjoying the outdoors. Even if I did have to work today.
