Also I have TONS of wood more than I know what to do with. Does anybody need or would like some firewood. There's plenty of it
I cut firewood year round. Can never have enough. You are just too far away to travel for it though.

My log splitter is kaput right now. I replaced the coupling gears in November and it worked for a few days then stopped. The motor runs just fine but the output shaft is barely turning. I think an internal bearing is shot. I need day to tear down the motor to see if I can fix it. If not, then I'll need a new motor or a new splitter. TSC has a nice 40 ton splitter but it is 2 grand in price. Out of my price range but a boy can dream.

I know my dad has been wanting a new splitter since I hi-jacked his :gig

Maybe a possible father's day gift though I'll probably have to team up with my brother on it since they are pricey

That was hubby's Christmas/Birthday present. Maybe anniversary present too. It should out last us.

Right now we're getting stuff that we need/want to have that's on the pricier side, before hubby retires in about 15 months. We have a lifetime supply of wood, and being able to split a load of wood any time is a big help. We don't have trees that that 40 ton can't handle. Ok, maybe we do, but we can't get the logs onto the splitter.

Hey everyone. Hope you had a good Monday. My day was BUSY.

Did college classes from 7:40-12:15 then I had lacrosse practice with my league then had to head over to work for a 6 hour shift. Man was it slow but slammed at the same time.

In the beginning of work there was absolutely no one so almost seemed boring but I had my book so I could read and work on my computer at the front desk but then suddenly mobs of people came in at the same time. WOWZA

Anyway after a long day of not having anything to eat, I'm gonna hit the hay early. Goodnight everyone!

Today the farrier came, all good so far. And it was glorious weather, also terrific.
Then, the plumbers came; our nice tiled shower in the master bedroom, should last a lifetime, right? Not so. The shower base is leaking and needs to be replaced, along with at least some of the tile, not to be found anywhere any more, I'm sure. Miserable!
It's the $$$, but also the disruption, and how to blend old with new tile without it all looking grim.
And all I do is complain...
Really, it's only a bathroom.
Mary

We had to replace some tile in our bathroom too. Of course we can't find the same thing; we put it in years (20!?!) ago. So we found something... similar-ish. Only to find when installing it, it's 3/16" thick... not 1/4" like the old stuff.

Every "problem" like this has become kind of trivial at the moment; a dear friend of ours has a mass in her chest. She had a biopsy last Friday and the results will be sometime this week. We think of her as our "daughter," since she's young enough to be that.
