Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Anyone got any good books they could suggest. I've been doing a lot of reading lately and need some new material :)
My favorite book of all time is Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver.
I reread it at least once a year.
Another favorite is Decider by Dick Francis.

Interesting, what was it about like a little bit of the plot. Don't want you to have to spoil it but it does capture my attention
I use google and then use goodreads to preview books.

Then I use our county library system to order books...
....and we have MelCat which is a state wide borrowing system, which should be linked on your local library website.

Good morning everyone! Yeah I know I am late, like 10am late. Had a very long night. I was very tired yesterday from the trip and all. The doctor is sending me a machine to monitor my heart. Start from there , I guess. I also had my second and last Phizer vaccine. My arm was very heavy yesterday and last night I was barely able to move because of it needless to say, had to open the windows to get some cool air in but that means I have to disarm the alarm and was not happy with that. Tonight, will turn the AC on and leave the alarm on so that I can sleep without worries.

Left yesterday around 7am and got back home around 815 pm. Did not leave the hospital until 510pm then 2 hours and 40 minutes plus stopping to re-fuel put me home so late. The lights were already off for the girls but I had to see them so I spent about 20 minutes with them before turning the lights back off. They seemed happy to see me and I was very happy to see them too. Phoebe is my girl.

Anyways, have lots to do around the house but will spend some time making calls and spending time with the girls and the dogs who were all alone yesterday.
Have a wonderful day!

Wow they are a lot of good options you guys gave me to choose from. Thank you guys I'll definitely be stopping by the library today to check some out.

And good morning Dreamz I know how you feel. I checked this site out again at 11am and was amazed how much threads blew up over the night.

Have you read Kingsolver's book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle? It is non-fiction, about a year she and her family spent on their farm eating only what they grew themselves. A great read.

My favorite Dick Francis is Proof. Just touched my heart.

Woke early to a thunderstorm, then a cacophony of hail beating down. Still hail all over the ground an hour later.

Hi everyone! First dose done!
