I have company coming on Thursday, someone who had never been out here (cuz we live waaaaay out here). I have a list of cleaning chores, and lots of it is way overdue. It takes the threat of company to get me to do some of this stuff. Then when it's done, I wish it would stay done longer, because I know I won't do it again for a long time. I'll have good intentions, but we know where they lead.

All that, some garden stuff, and tomorrow is Chiro day. I'll visit our "daughter" and brace myself that she may have lost all her hair to chemo by now.

Really hoping for the rain tonight/tomorrow. Might be some on Friday too. Might be chilly enough to have a fire in the woodstove Friday. If it means we have rain, I'm all for it!

I've been playing an instrument ever since I was 6 years old and writing too. Then I started performing on live stages when I was 14 and everything fell in place. I do alternative/indie kind of music. Something that can make you feel good but also jam out to at the same time

Nice sunny day here. 83 degrees and quite windy. 15 mph according to my new weather station. Just got it put a little while ago. The old one got destroyed in a wind storm. The pole it was mounted on got ripped out of the ground and smashed the sensing unit. Ah the irony.

I have hot water again. As much as I didn't want to go, I went in to the crawl space and found the reset button on the heater. Going down was a bit dicey but coming out was difficult. I wasn't sure that I was going to make it.
Curse this arthritis and lack of mobility.

Air temp has dropped like third period French. I'm freezing my tuckus off. Frost isn't predicted but it feels close.
I hope all are staying warm in this crazy weather.

It's not crazy, it's Michigan!
Six week old chicks are starting to go outside, and interact directly with the adults. all good so far, the babies are going in at night as they should. Locked up separately overnight, until I open things up in late morning.
Moving back into the house!!! Refinished floors look great, all worth it. Tonight family came over to help move stuff, and got engaged in setting up the TV. The big priority for DH!
Back tomorrow night to hang it over the fireplace mantle. Never wanted one there, but it does look like the best location for this one. Change happens...
