Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Good morning all and glad you’re wearing clothes again @aart :gig
Love these crisp mornings then warming up in the afternoon. Cut the grass down front yesterday. The property has so many rocks of all sizes all over the place and when the utilities were dug, the contractors destroyed a large swath of property that I am going to attempt to level and remove all of the rocks when the tractor arrives. Of course it is back ordered until the end of June. I cringe every time I hear the blade on the lawnmower hit a rock.

Received good news that I can start working outside the house again starting next week! So excited to see people again in person. Hopefully, I can fit back into some of my work clothes :rant

And finally, the littles got an upgrade to their brooder crate yesterday! They are now enjoying their chick condo. More room...and they can see out the sides. So far they are all thriving! One of the bigs I was asking you all about with the lame leg seems to be improving little by little every day. She is still favoring the leg but is laying regularly and eating well. I didn’t isolate her from the rest of the girls and she seems to be doing okay. No one is bullying her so I will keep an eye on her and give her a little more love, which I enjoy thoroughly!

Enjoy the day. Back to zoom meetings for the day. Cheers!

Taking a break from cleaning. I really hope the fruit crop up by Traverse City is going to be ok with the chilly temps we're having in the next few days.

I'm going to hang my cleaning rags out on the line to get a second rinsing tomorrow in the 100% chance of rain we will get.

I must say, the house does look a lot neater. :yesss:

Anyone got any ideas for a rabbit play pen. I thought about getting an x pen for them and use it also as a baby gate in their one room but can't find one under $50 that they won't jump over

For those of you who have been around for awhile... remember Kathy and Harvey Pearl? Think his name was Mr Chicken dad. Kathy is having her right leg amputated above the knee Saturday. She fell and shattered her femur. Keep her in your prayers, please. They just sold their farm and moved into a condo. Everything is still in boxes.

I just ordered the girls a doggie play pen until they are big enough to go into the coop. They have zipper tops to keep them in the pen. Might be a valid option. Good Luck! I bought the smaller one, but this has a bottom to hold shavings and keep the floor under it clean.

I saw those but I wanted something that allowed them to eat the grass outside and being able to have to fold straight across so I could use it as a gate
