Here is a place I have reached out to when I had some sick squirrels in grand rapids. The gal that runs it is a wonderful woman. Places like this need our support. Good luck!

most likely put it out of its misery if you can. you can try a live trap but don't know of anyone that would take it

there has to be a license rehabilitator in the area that can help (try the DNR for that info or google).
Thanks for the advice. I haven't seen it since Friday afternoon, so I don't think it made it through the night. I have this info saved for if I see him again.
@snowflake I live within city limits, so putting it out of its misery could prove to be difficult. That was my first thought, though.

@SillyChicken I looked that French drain and trench. It seems like I will be digging until Christmas if I get to do it every day. I heard about grading the trench but I have no clue how is down. Is it kind of making a slop and the farthest out is deeper? Sorry I might not have the correct or technical words. This city girls knows nothing about the country, :idunno

Spent most morning in Fruitport, Muskegon taking Pixie (dog) top be groomed. I know it is far but they have done Pixie for the past 4 years and they are very nice with her. But I got a few things done. Bought some wood and some garden blocks for the front of the house, some soil for planting the mint in the front and more screws that I needed to when I can get back to that run. Exhausting but not as much as knowing nor thinking that I have to dig for about 60 feet out a trench,:lau

Some is trying to sell me a trailer for hauling stuff but they want the money in advance because they have to blah, blah, blah. It is not going to happen. I paid this person $120.00 to just trim the stupid trees in the very front and never completed it because had to go to take care of daughter as an emergency. Got me once but not twice. I prefer to wait until it rains upwards and buy one at TSC for 1K.

Enough rambling. No eggs today. This mama is going to keep cool in the house watching the girls get dirty outside.

Quite a few posts over the last day or so. It's nice to see the activity. There was a confirmed tornado that hit about 5 miles east of me. Lot's of damage and power is still out for many. I have the next 3 days off for vacation so I volunteered to help with clean up if needed. Have chainsaw, will travel.

I got 2 face cords of firewood cut and stacked here after I got home from work. It was a bunch of wind fallen limbs and such. Working in the heat and humidity of summer so I stay warm in winter.

Not sure how much rain I got over the weekend. A fallen branch took out my weather station gauge. :barnie However the garden is looking good. My potatoes are thriving, so are the tomatoes. That is about all the green I have here. Damn gypsy moths have turned every tree naked and brown. So sad.

Like I said, I have the next 3 days off. Anyone want to come and play with me?

We got at least half an inch of rain in half an hour around 4:30 this afternoon. I swear, the cherry tomato plant grew 8" in the last 5 days!

The deer flies and mosquitoes are out and about now too. I'm sporting a couple new bites on my arms. That was the only good thing about the dry weather -- very few skeeters!
