Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Right now, they are still significantly smaller than the adults. I'll reevaluate the size differential in about 3 weeks. I'm thinking they will still be small enough that a panic door will work, but we'll see how they grow.

Last night they were in their run and Lark (the meanie) was ignoring them. Yesterday was the first day they spent any appreciable time out there, so we're just starting this journey.

I really appreciate the advice from everyone who has been through this before. :)
I was very scared when I brought the Sebrights home. Once the coop was able to be used, I put the sebrights in a dog kennel inside the coop. Once I moved the Roo out, I removed the kennel and the little ones were up on the roost all by themselves while the big girls shared a roost lower inside. Once the rooster was gone, they all flew up and tried to move the little ones. Now they all use the roost but it is hard at the beginning. The sebrighst go in first around 8pm. Then by 820 the Americauna and naked neck go in. But then by 835pm, the big mamas go in and everyone needs to move until they go up and settle. Which is funny but the leghorn and the sebrights are getting a bit closer at night to sleep. They are 8wks apart. Sometimes, I just close the door and tell the little one, run for your life and close up shop, :lau

Our best friends are dealing with a health crisis too. He's in the ICU with a bad infection in his kidney from a 10x16mm stone and fluctuating BP. His wife has to deal with it, which is almost as stressful.

We're at home or at work, worrying.
I hope everything works out for your friend. He is good hands. I hear kidney stones are the worst in men.
