Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

There is a very simple way to have a different password for every app and site you have and have them all be not only different but easy to remember. You need a pass phrase.

Use a short phrase of words that also has numbers, such as:
"Two brown chickens ran through the yard"

Convert the two into the number 2, then use the first letter of the words. This is the start of your password:
2bcrtty

Capitalize one or more of the letters
2bcrttY

Add a special character
2bcrttY$

Now for each website add the first three letters of the site. For example, for this site you might make your password
2bcrttY$byc

Sound complicated? It's not. All you have to remember is your passphrase, which letter you capitalize, and what special character you use. A password like that is long enough for any site, uses all of the special things that are required of even the most picky ones, and if you ever have to change you can easily change all of them by picking a new passphrase.
Thank you. It does sounds complicated but not much. You have no idea how soon I forget anything these days, lol I do not even know the one for here, lol

Out of curiosity, is it ok for my dog to eat chicken feed? The knucklehead has eaten from the left over of the wet feed. I just wait for it to thaw but noticed that if I leave it on the entrance floor, she will eat at it. She is one crazy dog and dumb, she has her own food not too far from the entrance too. Hope is ok. It is for the chickens, lol

I have no clue because they do not lay until past 730am. I am not going out there. I slipped the other day and hub was going to put rock salt but good thing I was there and I stopped him. I do not want to drag any on the run or coop. I threw hot water and swept it to the grass. Of course, it is all ice again, lol. But no, I am not going out there at that time unless I have an appointment early in Ann Arbor that I had to leave here like at 530am or so. Thank you.
Maybe you could spread some sand on that ice. I have an erea I need to do that with, as well.

It's so much easier to remember a phrase, and to anyone else the letters just look like gobbledygook.

Dreamz, I would not let a dog eat any feed that came from the coop especially if it had been wet. Feed that has been wet, soiled, or exposed to other animals could have bacteria or mold.
I also wouldn't let a dog eat a lot of any grain product like chicken feed or bird seed or livestock feed.

He'd been subpar since spring, back and forth all summer,
found him dead on the board this morning.

Hitting me way harder than any of the others over the years.
Might be the beginning of the end.
I've been a bit ambivalent of keeping/growing a flock this last year or so.
Who knows what the future might hold.
Meanwhile it will be interesting to have an all female flock for the time being,
never had that before.
Sigh.

Yep. It is Monday alright. Went to work, as scheduled, only to find out that there was no truck scheduled. It would have been nice if my team leader or manager called and said not to come in. Wasted 3 or 4 gallons of gas. Last week I didn't even cover my fuel cost in gross pay. This store is going to pot.

One of the cashiers told me that the store director is being transferred. It's not by choice she said. Makes one wonder about the state of the economy.

Wood stove ashes are quite useful. Just make sure there are no hot coals when you throw them down outside. I have an ash bucket by the stove. I scoop out the firebox every day and wait a few days before using outdoors.

How is this for strange? Losing a sock while doing laundry isn't uncommon. I lost a pillow case in the last load. Where did the pillow case go?

Just had a call from the Chamber of Commerce. I'm working the beer tent for the upcoming Shanty Days. I had a blast doing it last year. At the end of the night I was gifted with several beer signs and 2 cases of beer that didn't get sold. The beer signs worked great as poop boards. And free beer always tastes better. :love
