Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

After my dad got his car stuck in the snow-filled ditch at the bottom of my driveway I had an excavator come in lay some extra conduit and widen the driveway enough so that I can push the snow out of the way without having to get too close to the ditch. My ditch is deep enough that it could easily flip the tractor. Very dangerous.

I'm not good at asking for help, but called a farmer friend to come with her all wheel drive and some chain.
Meanwhile I got the weights off so we could hook to the rear hitch and was just sitting on the fender when the guy pulled over, walked up and picked up the back of the tractor while my jaw dropped(I'm going to vividly envision that for days/months/years). Took about 10 minutes to get me out of the holes.
Took my buddy about 30 minutes to get here, I felt a bit bad she went to all that trouble gathering gear and it wasn't needed.
I hear ya there. I hate to ask for help. I can blame it on my upbringing. Somehow asking for help was some sort of weakness.
I've found out as I got older that asking for help is no sin and sometimes leads to unexpected friendships.

I like helping people when I can. It's a feel-good kind of thing. So asking for help might be a feel-good situation for the helping person.

I am all smiles to hear the stories. Helping hands are never needless. We all need some kind of help at times. Sometimes we get help from un-expected people. I have learned about 9 years ago that words can build or destroy. I chose to build. However, with AT&T, I used a curse word and I am not happy that I did. I told the guy: " I had a good working 4G phone and got blocked and got sent another 4G. I need you to change it all to this new 5G so AT&T cannot f*** with me anymore" I apologized rapidly but more rapidly he did my phone and jetted out of their doors. It is like I have taken so much dodo from all over that my cup had to let some out. I am ashame for that because it was not his fault but the company.
Anyways, I have a working cell again. Now it is to me to change every password and sign up again to my apps. I am dreading that a lot. That is why I had google for, to remember all of my passwords, lol

It rained last night and it all turned to freaking ice. I almost fell twice going to the coop. They are like not caring for the cold wind at all. They are still making holes in the ground. I thought the ground was cold. They are a bit bored. I bought them a head of lettuce for tomorrow. Eggs were only 5 today. I guess as the temperatures keep falling throughout the day and tomorrow, it will be less. Other than that, they seem fine. ALl tucked in by 5pm,lol Then they are up by 430am. If they think I am walking in the dark and that cold at that time, they are chickens, lol

Raz, I also have a neighbor that is bypolar skezophrenic, lol But I still treat his wife as nice as I can. I guess I have to take the lead on that one,lol

Love you all much.

Up by 4:30?? Whatever for? Be careful on that ice!

There is a very simple way to have a different password for every app and site you have and have them all be not only different but easy to remember. You need a pass phrase.

Use a short phrase of words that also has numbers, such as:
"Two brown chickens ran through the yard"

Convert the two into the number 2, then use the first letter of the words. This is the start of your password:
2bcrtty

Capitalize one or more of the letters
2bcrttY

Add a special character
2bcrttY$

Now for each website add the first three letters of the site. For example, for this site you might make your password
2bcrttY$byc

Sound complicated? It's not. All you have to remember is your passphrase, which letter you capitalize, and what special character you use. A password like that is long enough for any site, uses all of the special things that are required of even the most picky ones, and if you ever have to change you can easily change all of them by picking a new passphrase.

I have no clue because they do not lay until past 730am. I am not going out there. I slipped the other day and hub was going to put rock salt but good thing I was there and I stopped him. I do not want to drag any on the run or coop. I threw hot water and swept it to the grass. Of course, it is all ice again, lol. But no, I am not going out there at that time unless I have an appointment early in Ann Arbor that I had to leave here like at 530am or so. Thank you.
