Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I only scratched 1 ticket. So $2 became $20
I'm saving the other ticket for later.
I was expecting to see pics of the winner!

6 eggs today, one of the legbars back in lay, I think.
But one hen with noisy breathing, hopefully she just gobbled feed too fast and it will clear up...already sounded a bit better at lock up. :fl

Finally stopped blowing and snowing, all ready for throwing early tomorrow.

Supper on the farm.

Hi Lovelies!

What a few days! I forgot to take with me the laptop, lol I amnot used to taking a lot of stuff and still felt as if I had too much stuff with me. I do always take my pillow no matter what.
Anyways, it was a good idea to leave Thurdays instead of Friday morning. We left on Hub Durango which I hate. My truck might be lower but I trust that rusty can,lol
Anyways, it stalled on me and then I was able to keep going. Reaching Lansing the snow began and the more towards Detroit it got worse. Lots of cars on teh roads because it seems like for being a Michigander, you should know to drive slower and safer but NOPE! They were passing me like if I was crazy and later on, I would pass them like I am from Florida, lol

It was really bad but I made it to Brighton. Told the hub, you drive the remaining. We went to eat at El Toro in Brighton. I love that place. They make my white cheese sauce not spicy and I love that. Then we went back to the Wingate hotel and it was horrible. The room was super nice and clean. However the people on teh second floor they had never been in a hotel or at least on a second floor. We barely had any sleep. Called the FD and they had me on hold for too long and I just hung. Next day I told them. We left around 8am and did not even got any of teh breakfast they had because there were people like there had never been in a place with free breakfast. I am sorry but I get upset when people do not know how to behave properly in a public setting.

Anyways, We had breakfast at a McDonald's and it was the worse tech experience. Had to do the order at the Kiosk and pay there. It is not the same. I like to ask for extra sugar or syrop for pancakes. Anyways, Glad I do not live that way, lol.

My doc called me around 8am to tell me of the bad weather condition and if I wanted, I did not had to go to AA. I told him that I was 20 min away from hospital. He changed my Lisinopril and gave me Losartan instead. My sister and daughter in law say that that one should be better for me and will not have that constant cough. Doc gave me a good news for himbut very bad for t=me that I even almost hyperventilated. He is leaving teh VA system and he was going to do his cardiology specialty. That means I have to start from teh beginning with another doctor. He got a bit scared when he saw me hyperventilating but I assured him that I was ok, just worried and anxious about how the next doc will be like. Anyways, the roads were a bit more clear by noon and we were on our way home early. But the Durango did really bad. It took us from noon until 5pm to get back with the stop and go everytime it stalled on us. I called teh mechanic in Shelby and they waited for us to get back. Felt so good to drive my beat up chevy to pick up hub from mechanic, lol

Went immediately outside becaus ePixie almost died when she saw that I was back. Well, the girls almost acted like the dog,lol They were happy to see me, especially P2 and Monica. I wonder if I can cahnge her name at almost a year of calling her Monica, lol I should name her Nancy Pelosi. She is the speaker of the coop, lol Always complaining and Bawking and whatever else she is trying to say allthe time. The Wyndottes were fine. Collected 6 eggs and there was no snow in sight. However, the wind picked up by 8pm and that is when I went to bed. I was able to hear the wind blowing very hard.
Today they got up at 7a, as everyday but the door was not open. Well, the battery died, lol Glad it happened today and not yesterday that I was not here. All their water and food is out in the run. So, I got dressed and opened teh curtain and it was snowing madly. I was like really? Seriously? I have to unscrew out there in the cold to bring it inside and change batteries and then screw it back up out there? Well, I did and all back to normal. Collected 6 eggs again today. The EE is finally looking decent since her feathers are growing back.

You guys wrote a lot,lol
Hope I can remember:
Spring for me is when I begin sweating and there is no way back, lol
I have to work on some raise bed for the summer but might not be able to begin seedlings because I have to drive to Florida like yesterday. I have to see a sister and a brother and need to work something with my car insurance there and maybe change the address to my sister's or my ex-first sargeant. I will not pay Michigan's insurance.
Then head back because hub canot handle the chickens for more than 4 days or so. After that, I will begin planning for April. Will let you know then, lol
Roo: No I think I am going to pass onthat roo thing. I do not mind the crowing but I am ok with 11 hens for now. Do not get me wrong, I wouldlove to have Orpingtons, Brahmas (the white and black and no feathered legs) The feathered legs look nice as well as the polish but not for me. In pictures all is fine and enough, no offense. I would not get Wyndoottes ever again not Leghorns. My P2 is lovely as it was my Phoebe but like Sally says, they get so dirty, lol I would not get them because they are definately like kids on steroids and with ADD/ADHD. Too wild for me. I do like teh sebrights but their eggs are so tiny, lol A roo that size would be so funny. I have seen those from poultry shows and they look very handsome for being so small.

OK, Too much in one shot and you guys are gonna kill me as soon as I get there in June, lol

Got to hit the sack. Still tired.

progress report.
Another progress report.
The willow is not too dry to bend without breaking. Pepper was busy in the actual site so I used the backup site that is about the same width.

Nutmeg and Mocha were happy to inspect and to model. Coco was too busy with breakfast.
