@Folly's place, I want one of your roosters. I'm done with vacation (yay, actually; the trip wore me out). I'll PM you my questions, ok?
Did you go to Maine? We lived in Caribou for 4 years. Part of my Military. Loring AFB was still active. I have my BFF that lives in Presque Isle right there still. Since my wife is from Maine we get back every so often. Did you bring sacks of taters home? What I really remember was filling garbage bags full of peas after the machines went though the fields. They'd allow families to go in and pick up the left overs. We never ate so many peas in our life. Mid-1980's.

Well, how cool is this. We stayed in Caribou, at the Caribou Inn/Convention Center. Across the street was the Northern Maine Brewing Co, and we had dinner there.

Our friend who got married lives in Fort Fairfield, and the wedding was at her home. The reception was in Presque Isle.

Lots of roadside stands with new potatoes for sale. We didn't buy any, because our potatoes are starting to come on now, and we'll have plenty.

We pulled off the road for DH to check directions at one point, and there was a field of clover next to us. Oh, wow! did that smell wonderful!

We also climbed a trail on Haystack Mountain. Lovely view from up top. I ate some wild blueberries up there. :)

People were very friendly. And twice when we stopped for gas, a guy came out to pump it for us. (Yeah, we gave him a tip.)

Hi Gang!
You missed me? Not,lol
Anyways, to make sure you do not miss me, here is the 65,000,000 pennies question. Does anyone process their chickens and eat them? How is the taste?
Cooked one of my processed wyndottes in soup. Let it there for good 2 hrs maybe but the meat was still hard. The taste is not like the ones at the store for sure but maybe because ythose have probiotics,GMO or whatever. Mine had nothing but feed and free range. Just curious.
