Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I was out back with the horses last week one day. They were gently snuffling against my neck and tugging on my braid, and were very content with neck scratches and nose rubs. Other days they're a little trickier! Today they just wanted the apples.
Same with my horses! It was warm today so I bathed my retired horse to get the nasty summer dirt and poo out of her coat before winter. She will obviously get dirty again, but maybe not so much.

Adorable puppy! Puppies are so sweet. Ran into a golden retriever puppy yesterday at TSC. The sweetest thing. Loved getting her ears scratched. Just love puppies.
Such a beautiful day out yesterday. Took a nice bike ride around town. Turning colors of the trees are just beautiful. Today, cooler and rain. Glad I got a chance to enjoy the weather.

Little Boy has convinced me that he needs to go to freezer camp. Since he beat up Big Boy and took over the flock he has been a poor rooster. He is not watchful. He doesn't find food for the hens. He sneak jumps the hens and even ducks. He is infertile. He is a bully.
Tonight sealed his fate. Damn roo would not let the other birds into the coop. It was dark and raining and he stood guard at the door. Shoot, he even challenged me when I went in.

I understand flock dynamics but I'm not going to tolerate a rooster behaving like that. With winter coming on and the flock being more contained I don't think 2 roosters is a good balance. Big Boy is the better roo. Sometimes having chickens isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
