That’s an adorable dog Troyer! We finally got some sun today!! I had to drop everything I was doing and go out into the glorious sunshine. I’ve got a horse in a stall right now since she’s got cellulitis in her lower leg and needs to be out of the mud, but I feel so bad she’s locked in the dark barn all day so I took her for a walk and let her loose in the arena where she found the only puddle to roll in and just was able to be a horse for a bit. I would have taken a picture but was just focused in the moment I didn’t think about it. The sunshine definitely put me in better spirits. I just hate constant cloudy weather.

I bought a dozen eggs today. I really HOPE it's the last dozen I have to buy! These were the "cheap eggs" that used to be $1.88. Now they are $4.79.

I'm getting an egg from my girls every other day, sometimes 2 out of 3 days.
You should have told me. I had 40 sitting on counter when we met.
Took them today to my church-buddy and with more that she bought, we made 240 breakfast burritos to sell. It is a ministry and this time if to hp a friend who lost job and is very ill. God always know how things will work out. She asked a few friends to help and everyone will sell burritos to help Mrs. Hope.

So after being burritos out this mo, came home and let the kids out. They even fought for leftover pancakes and bacon, lol . Then saw the quackies looking up and stepped outside and sure enough, 2 birds flying high in circles. I got the all inside. At least they had about 30min out today.

Now is waiting for more eggs and waiting for someone to get broody. Lovechild has mated Rachel (RIR) and the Leghorns. Curious how they will come out with that hard red and white.

Edited to add: made a huge order of seeds and ready to get the new gas plow out,lol

I just heard a radio report about the price of eggs. Seems that the avian flu has hit egg producers hard. National average price is $3.59. I paid $4.99 at Meijer for the cheapest eggs there. I haven't had an egg from my flock for months. You can bet that I'll be getting chicks this year.

Winston is growing like a weed. He is 20+ pounds now. He is a solid pup but the 8# cat still bosses him around. Bella tolerates him and will even play with for a little bit.

I sure would like to see some sunshine. It's been gloomy and grey for weeks.
