I don't know how to get photos off my cell phone onto the computer so this is from my old flip cell phone, sent to Facebook, copied with the printscreen button and cropped in photoshop, saved to the computer and uploaded here. *DEEP BREATH* So. I was out in the coop shutting it up for the night and turned on the light to do a headcount and found Fritter the roo unable to sit down on account of his hens having a shoving match to get underneath him. He was all puffed up, such a great guy... poor guy. I closed a couple of windows that were leaking blowing snow, facing the storm, so hopefully that helped him out a bit. But I couldn't resist a picture.

I email my pictures to myself from my phone. Save them to my computer then upload to photobucket... yup, I now have photobucket, needed it for another site... or to here and wahlah!

We found with my dad, that processed foods, msg, hfcs, synthetic sugars really made his BP worse... So, he avoided that stuff like the plague. I read lables and if it has msg, splenda, nutrasweet... stuff like that, its a no go here.

We found with my dad, that processed foods, msg, hfcs, synthetic sugars really made his BP worse... So, he avoided that stuff like the plague. I read lables and if it has msg, splenda, nutrasweet... stuff like that, its a no go here.

I avoid those label traps, too, along with hfcs, aspertame and any red food dye (youngest allergy sensitive to it).

Nova, My Fiance doesn't frequent this site, in fact she makes fun of me for it LOL. Yesterday when we went to close up chickens she said, At least wipe the poop off before we get in the car! I had to laugh because of your tag line Made my night. She just rolled her eyes LOL

LOL, I noticed after a while that I was needing to check my shoes before getting in the car, and my kids would be running around the yard, and climb in, and I'd end up with chicken surprises on my seats! LOL.

This is going to sound amaturish, but I lost my first girl tonight. I heard everyone making a racket and went out to find one of my beloved hens gone. She was a barred rock and her name was Rotunda (she was the fattest & fluffiest bird) I have no idea what happened I just know I will miss her fluffy butt so much!

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss!

Unfortunately, whatever got her will be back. When they get one, they will try to get more. That said, make sure you lock them up at night. I'm sorry that you had to experience this!

no marks. they were tucked in for the night. i double checked to make sure nothing got in and there is no traces of anything. she just keeled over. just so sad about it. she wasn't even a year old yet.
