Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Our Wyandottes have been good flock members. new ones this spring, we'll se how these develop. My favorite color too, BLR.
So nobody knows what that moth is? I've been looking at too many moth photos, and still am not sure.

I love hearing about your birds!! Also love that you have your camera in your coop. I put mine in, but think I need to move it to the other side where I can see the roost and nest boxes. Gonna end up with a lot of drilled holes 😂
I have 2 electric wyze inside coop. Then 2 more on the main run, and one on one of the small coops were Loveused to live. I have 2 brown leghorns there hatch in April I think. Then I have a battery ring on the other small coop where Pitbull is and a blink on his run area. The other blink is under the coop stairs to watch under the coop.

Tonight things got finally mixed up but can't find one of the brown leghorns. There is only one in the small coop. However, all 9 babies, the 2 buckeyes and the 2 Sussexes are in the coop now. I made a smaller roos for the small ones but they just went up the stairs and got between e eryone. So, I have a full coop tonight, lol

Today I found this dead moth in our back yard, under a big maple tree. Never saw one like this before, any ideas?

Mouth and antennae no longer there, it's been dead a while.

So maybe Arched Hooktip? It's the only one I'm seeing with those dots and the line. Doesn't look like it has much of a head, either...

I've never been fond of Wyandottes, just have always had problems with them and they were not the greatest layers.
Had a GL Wy that I got with my first flock, she was a b!itch.
Have had SL Wy's that were great birds.

I'd love to look at your elbow Raz! Maybe you are overworking it...
Ditto Dos!

I have thought of this, too.... it just breaks my heart, tho. I mean, we would process them and eat them. But I just would keep thinking about the what ifs.
I gave them the summer but before winter, had no problem introducing them to my knife. They were too bad to the other 10. They would run one away and all 3 would abuse her.

Chiken Fairy, try adding some obstacles (boxes, totes, perches at various heights, buckets etc) to give the lower order birds a better chance of evasion.

I have a couple of logs, a bouncy bridge, a roost, two waterers, and a dog crate in there. I think you're right, though. I need more perchable items in the run, I have been considering that and also little perches up the sides somehow. Thank you!

I've been looking, and wonder about the Imperial Moth, although the one picture i found isn't identical either. And this individual has been dead, and drying up, so there are no longer any antennae to be seen.

Also I think the colors have faded a bit, so this is my best guess. the wing structure looks the same, and the size.
