Is everyone okay following this storm?
There was a tornado touchdown east of Colon, a small town about 12 miles east of us.
I don't know the extent of damage if any.

We're just south of Watervliet and we were out of town Sunday and Monday. When we got back, there were two trees down in the ravine behind our house. Thankfully, they didn't fall on any structures. The coop is good and everything else is still here.

Starting to see several buff feathers piling in corners of the run with a sprinkling of red... assuming the orp is starting her molt, and the RIR who was broody too, but you'd never know that orp has lost any with all that fluff. LOL. Does this seem early?

Canned my first 16 qt tomatoes yesterday.

Does this seem early?
Kinda, yes.
My birds are older 3-7 years, and laying slowed down a month or so ago and I've seen some feather drops.
I've also read about others who seem to be molting earlier than usual.

My 3 Black Australorps (4 yo) have pin feathers on their necks. I think they might have laid an egg (each) in the past week. I've seen them in nests and gotten eggs that sort of look like the ones they've laid historically.

One of them, Little, quit laying back in June. I'm pretty sure one of the eggs were hers.
