Welcome Caz!! Maybe you could get your duck a girlfriend?
Be sure to NOT let your duck mount your hens when he's reached maturity. You will have dead hens...

check out swampduck's .siggy there is going to be a fall meet up in Lovell Mi. on Sept. 22, every one welcome!!"

Snowflake, I must have been meant to attent this. We have a cabin in Lovells (just down from Caids) and that happens to be our anniversary weekend. We still need to get up to the cabin to close it up for the winter too.

The TSC in Ortinville is having a pet rescue event. Saw dogs and puppies, rabbits, goats and a pair of bantam chickens. Seabright or was it Serama?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!!!

Probably won't make the meet up, but maybe the annual one in Lansing. I am in Willis, which is just south of Ypsilanti!

Chris :)

Oh, Ypsi! Well at least there are several MI peeps over your way.

Last night heard the weidest noises about 10:30... Went out on the deck to see what I couldn't see. I have the motion sensor lights on ALL NIGHT now since the coon raid. I figure, The birds will be able to see whats coming if they, the coons, figure out how to get back in.... I could not see anything, but the noise was coming from the back. I called the neighbors since their coops were all still open and I was worried that the noise I heard may have been fox kits/pups(?), and told that I was hearing some odd noises, they may want to go check. Well, Earlene goes on out, she hears it too, and she doesn't know what it is either. Her kid didn't either... Well, this morning, after thinking on it all night, I have come to the conclusion that it was an owl taking out a rabbit. The owl was the only other noise I heard, and it was very close also...

Kinda freaky.

Laura, your avatar trips me out. LOL. Almost makes me need some...
I say these guys are like puppies. when you spend time with them, they won't leave you alone. I had one that when I put my hand down it would come over, let me pick it up, put it on my shoulder. It would sit there a minute then fly down, run around to my hand and do it all over. It did it about 5 or 6 times until I got my video going on my cell phone. then it only did it 2 mores times and then went to eating.
