Happy Birthday tdhenson86! You are only 3 years older than me! Tell me, whats its like to be 27? I have not been there yet, but soon. :D Anyway, have a great one!

I am making a trip, and will be back with something. Will post pictures!

Probably the least expensive would be mineral oil. A quart bottle from the drug store is just a couple of bucks and it will spray easily and penetrates the scales well. Using an oil as opposed to a salve will allow you to observe the condition of the leg easier. You will be surprised at how quickly the scales will return to a normal position. I would recommend spraying the legs for 3 days. The oil will smother the mites and the scales will lay back down. I would apply once more a week later.

I had two hens whose legs looked horrendous. When I couldn't locate the mineral oil in the medicine cabinet I spied a spray bottle of Avon Skin So Soft. Worked great and my birds never smelled better.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Well, 27 isn't much different than 24.

I honestly don't feel a bit different than I did 7-8 years ago. I still can't figure out how I'm 27, but I feel like I just graduated from my associates degree. Weird.

Cool, I keep both products on hand, we use the mineral oil for the horses on the rare occasion that we have a colic, the skin so soft works great on the dogs and horses for our homemade fly spray. Do I need to worry about the cold with spraying it on? I am thinking they should be fine right?

Pretty awesome. Nothing like the Tunguska event but better in that it was so well recorded.
