I wish I knew what you could do for it. Does he/she seem uncomfortable? If it seems to be improving even a little I think it's worth giving a chance. Taping the legs sounds like a good idea - maybe it'll get stronger through the next day or so. Sending hope your way!

The EE hens that I hatch these chicks from lay blue... or well, mostly blue, slightly green. Some days I think, yea... they're blue, and other days I would think, maybe they're a little more to a green. LOL. My EE hens came from Townline.

Anyways, here is a picture I took late last summer. The first egg is from one of our EE hens (I have 2, they both lay the same color blue/green? egg). It's set next to a white egg from our leghorn.

The picture quality is horrible. Sorry about that... It was taken with my old cell phone, I have since gotten a new phone.




those eggs are beautiful.. looks like they go from blue on one end to shades of purple to the other.. look like some nice easter eggs.. so pretty.

here is a picture my only survivor..
earlier when my dd went to check on it, it was kinda standing.. and one foot was curled under so i taped it.. and this was right after.. looks like there may be hope.. hard to get a good picture when he still cant stand good, but this is the best he has done since birth..

well little grumpy looking face, cracks me up when i look at this pic.. looks so mad.. probably because he couldnt get up.. well this am he is standing and moving around some.. so i think its getting some strength..

well little grumpy looking face, cracks me up when i look at this pic.. looks so mad.. probably because he couldnt get up.. well this am he is standing and moving around some.. so i think its getting some strength..

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope it's a great one for everyone.

I have to throw this out to the group because I have never heard of such a thing. I have a young chihuahua at our house named Oreo and every time she gets outside when we have our Buffs out, she will herd them back to the coop. She will not stop until the last one is back in too. It's the funniest thing to watch because these Buffs are twice her size. She has never bit or hurt one of the chickens but she'll bark like crazy and chase them. The Buffs seem to know what she wants because they run right back in coop. The dog never goes into the coop after them but once the last one is back in the coop the dog returns back to our house. I have to get this on video once.

Thanks, Nova. Truth be told, I don't celebrate any holidays. One day is as good as the next, today is better than yesterday. (Well maybe not, it is drizzling and yesterday was sunny)

Ducklings spent the night in the big coop and were just fine this morning. The temperature was (is) a comfortable 67 degrees. I think everyone is happier with the new arrangements.
