Happy Easter Everyone! I hope it's a great one for everyone.

I have to throw this out to the group because I have never heard of such a thing. I have a young chihuahua at our house named Oreo and every time she gets outside when we have our Buffs out, she will herd them back to the coop. She will not stop until the last one is back in too. It's the funniest thing to watch because these Buffs are twice her size. She has never bit or hurt one of the chickens but she'll bark like crazy and chase them. The Buffs seem to know what she wants because they run right back in coop. The dog never goes into the coop after them but once the last one is back in the coop the dog returns back to our house. I have to get this on video once.

Thanks, Nova. Truth be told, I don't celebrate any holidays. One day is as good as the next, today is better than yesterday. (Well maybe not, it is drizzling and yesterday was sunny)

Ducklings spent the night in the big coop and were just fine this morning. The temperature was (is) a comfortable 67 degrees. I think everyone is happier with the new arrangements.

Nothing wrong with not celebrating holidays.. yay for the ducklings.

DH had to work this morning so I'm spending mine with my girls. I love to just sit and watch them do their thing. It's perfect.

I don't celebrate holidays either but YEAH it's spring!!!! Finally the snow and ice are going away.

Happy Easter

We're not celebrating per se, but with all those yummy Easter treats out there, we're not passing up the basket full of chocolates.

I did not buy Baskets this year for the boys. We didn't talk about it. We didn't look at easter stuff at all. I am making a normal meal, nothing fancy. I have a bad time with Xmas and Thanksgiving too. It's just another day for me only I have more WORK to do on those days... Bigger cooking, more cleaning, and I have to work at my job! Tonight we are going to watch the final episode of The Bible... (some comments and hubub are being made that they picked a guy who looks like Obama to play the devil, HAHA, I don't see it... but anything to start a controversy) and then I am going to hit the sack with a book... Probably some Evanovich, and chill out. No sugar rushes in this house today.

I don't mind doing the sugar rush for my troop. Easter is the only one I tend to get candy happy with. But I'm not doing a fancy dinner, either. Don't feel the need. If we were sharing it with family, maybe, but every one is gone for spring break. Besides, we're not very big ham eaters so we're just doing simple.

Just another day for us too. It's nice out so DH is grilling some burgers. DD got some presents in the mail from her grandparents so she's playing with her new doll and this morning I let her collect eggs in her Easter basket.

My family has started a tradition of having Easter brunch. Delish breakfast goodies. And then kids all go to their in-laws for a traditional Easter meal. I'm not super religious but it's a excuse to have the family together. We had a super good time. All 4 kids and all but one grand kid together. Lots of laughs.
