Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

is that a......frizzled gold laced polish??????

Yes and he is so sweet and I have a girl, June, who isn't frizzled so we can hatch some eggs!

While at the feed store yesterday, I asked if the mgr. knew of anyone wanting a rooster, he did, but when we called the guy, turns out he had just gotten one. He did say he recommended we keep him though. Said a roo makes the hens happier and eggs better. Is that iyo  true. OR bs????

My girls get along with the roosters. If you free range a rooster is a must in my opinion. Mine do a great job and have saved everyone from both a hawk attack and two dog attacks. But it has to be a good rooster not a mean one. Good ones take care of the hens.

Stacykins I hope you are recovering, be careful while your heads in a fog so you don't end up falling and doing more damage. I know it's hard to take it easy when you have critters to care for.

Taprock what if you painted emu eggs with golf leaf and told your hubby you finally found the goose that lays golden eggs? You're hoping to hatch more of them. Sorry that's the best dumb idea I've got.
