Hi Nova! No chickensicles yet, all are well. I have at least a dozen or more large trees down from the last two wind storms, 5 of which fell all around the coop and run. Astoundingly none fell on the coop or run, just all around, so that was a real stroke of luck. I don't have the time or energy to deal with them yet, though, it's going to be a whole lot of work.

Two of them are blocking the path back to the coop, I have to go around the compost now to get out to them, good thing it's all frozen so it isn't stinky! x_x

How have you been?

Am I more or less crazy because I gave my hens a 10X10 pop up canopy so wouldn't have to shovel over their 6' stockade fence lol

I've been told my chickens are spoiled
Thats funny because I did the same thing. used to do craft shows so I had them sitting around. I am using a 10X20 on one and a 10X10 on another so mine are more spoiled then your.

Get an MRI Tuesday. maybe that will help decide what to do for my shoulder. They only have 2 of those machines/instruments in Muskegon and they have appointments set up 24-7. Is that consistent with other town of comparable size?

BobBry- I had rotor cuff injuries, had one operated on and left the other. Its worth having it fixed, makes a lot of difference. Bad Axe has one and its out of town, they go 24 hours, drawing from at least as far away as Caro.

So where do the UP people hang out?
I'm coinsidering a relocation and that's one of the prime spots on the list.
Was wondering how people are doing with chickens and if there are any towns or areas that arent very freindly.
I'm planning on having a good sized flock, but nothing commectial.
Just enough to feed my chicken addiction.

Im finally a chicken owner. I got the call at 11:00pm last night that my chicks were at Flint. I braved the weather and made the 2 hour round trip to pick them up. 2 had passed when I opened the box and 1 more a couple hours later. But I have 44 beautiful and healthy chicks!
