My two favorite things in one... Chickens and coffee. Now if only I could train my chickens to pour my coffee.

Yes, there is no hot plate on which to set the pot after the coffee is poured....setting the hot pot directly on the table could mar the table finish or get coffee stains on the tablecloth...or is that not what you were referring to? That was the first thing I noticed in the picture...

Well, there is also the fact that the rooster is pouring with his left foot....and everyone knows that roosters are always right-footed.....![]()
No donuts and I'm grayer than that
SWEET!!!
looks good to me, That is Opa,right??
Goats are Soooo cute, I want some....craigs list has some dwarfs for $90 Don't think it is going to happen just yetEven a curmudgeon like me thinks that this is cute.
Naglady you really scored!! How about that free birds plus their own quarantine coop? How nice of that lady to give all that away.
Thank you gals, i moved the new coop and it moves so easy, kinda like a chicken tractor. love i have a quariteen coop, my new hen gave me a egg yesturday and today..I got attacked for the first time by a goose today. Kris- I have changed the name of the the gander I got through you, his name is now Mudd . Luckily I was dressed for the weather with layers or I think he would have broken skin. I had to pull him off. So I carried him around for a few minutes and insulted him tremendously. He's picked one of my geese to chum around with, so I may have babies this year!!
You lucked out. I don't know what they are, but they are pretty and if they are good layers and you breed them to a good laying breed the resulting chicks should be good layers as well. Congratulations!
Ouch! Hope it didn't flatten your toes.
wonder if my new rooster can do that..
so cute, funny i didnt think i wanted to do the chick thing last fall when i first started, now i am really wanting to hatch some. With the pending snow storm today I thought I'd brighten things up around here a little - FUZZY BUTTS ARE HERE!!!!!
Everyone made it ok.. one of the little sumatra chicks was a bit stressed so I'm nursing her along. The others are
running around like little mad men....then passing out. The hen chick I hatched a few weeks ago has become a mom hen whether
she likes it or not... they're following her around. It's actually helpful cause she is showing them where the food and water is.
I went to pull out the gimpy chick to cull and she started searching frantically for her....... go figure. So I went ahead and
put her back....
Black/white chicks are Sumatra
Soft yellow are Faverolles (ugh, mostly roos)
The multi color chicks are Golden Campine
Reddish brown chicks? Does anyone know? Rhode Islands?
And there's a little banty chick in the center of the picture (I think)
Oh well.. enjoy!
