He came originally from a petting zoo, where he was socialized primarily with humans (until he hit puberty and started doing "naughty" boy stuff and kids started asking questions. The gal that came to help us with the hoof trimming said he'd been neutered, but since it was hard to tell (even for her) she suggested it had been done later on, which would follow the timeline of when he was originally sold. I'm guessing they were feeding a steady diet of treats when he was a kid, too, and spoiling badly. By the time we had him we were his 3rd or 4th owner.

I need help Today!!!! Unfortunately I have been ordered to go on an almost no notice deployment for 6 months and I need to get rid of my chicks before I leave in a couple days. I will give them away free of charge to anybody that wants them. I will also give you all my feeders and waterers. I have some feed left and other niceties. I wanted to let you all know first before I have to put them on craigslist. If possible I need them gone today. I have 47 chicks total. look at my signature line for types.

I'm sorry this is such short notice....but I wasn't given much notice myself. They are 3.5 weeks old and very healthy. You can even have the brooder and lights they are kept in now. Be aware that the brooder is 4 foot by 8 foot long. I don't have a truck....otherwise I would just deliver them. So I apologize but you will have to pick them up.

I live near North Branch, MI My main crossroads are M-24 and M-90. My address is 67 E Castle Rd Fostoria, MI 48435. Time is of the essence so please let everyone you know that wants chicks and is willing to come out here. This is a first come first served basis...Sorry, but I don't have the time to hold them for someone else.

Give me a call if interested.....My name is Josh 810-338-4484.
Man Josh, that is awful!!

I am 2 1/2 hrs away, I hope someone closer can get them and hold them till you get back, Maybe you could get a house sitter, reasonable rent if they take good care of your chickens.

Hope with the budget cuts they change their minds

Update.....i asked if i could jump on a later rotator for this deployment. They said ot shouldn't be a problem. So I have until Sunday to get rid of them. If this helps any of you in any way to come out to my house. ..let me know. i will hold them for the first one who is for sure about wanting them. you don't have to take them all....but ot would be nice. let me know....and thank you for your time.

I am a Sussex, Partridge Rock, and Wyandotte fanatic, so if I could get those, I would love it. If anyone is near Lansing or Battle Creek and only wants a few of these birds, I would split the gas difference with if you would pick them all up. I would then meet you in Lansing/Battle Creek area and take whatever Sussex, Partridge Orps, and Wyandottes you don't want. I just can't make the full 3 hour trip... ??? If interested in something like this, please PM me.

Myself, a friend and a few people he knows can take in the chicks. We're in Clio, half hour or so away, and could come get them Wednesday afternoon/early evening, if that time is alright with you. The earliest we could be out to that area is 4:30-ish.

6 would be alright. I don't mind if you want to split up the chicks so there are some available for TD and whomever else wanted chicks.

I'm glad they're finding good homes! I would love the Sussex or some gold laced Wyandottes if we split them!
