cant wait to see the baby mini..


well its 21 day today.. no pip, or rocking.. dd and i candled 2 eggs to see if they are still alive, and moving and strong. so I am being patient and waiting.. not going to sit and watch.. will be checking once in awhile.. trying not to be ocd about it.. i figure they will probably all hatch while we are at the swim banquet tonight and miss the whole thing.. lol


ladyrsanti- do you advertise your eggs on craigslist or anything like that.. or put up flyers at stores entries.. seems like that should bring in some customers.. sounds like you have alot of egg action.

I was off work yesterday so spent the morning with my chickens and the afternoon at the barn with my mini. For me, there is no better therapy than my animals.
The spring shed has begun. Wheel barrel full this time.


She really needed a good brushing.


Half done, and that is not a hay belly. Can't wait for the foal!
Will be her first and my first. Papa is my white mini donkey.

A mini mule!! Cant wait to see pictures!
My horse is shedding out too . They can be worse than dawgs when they shedd lol.

Being foster mom to 6 chicks. 3 leghorns and 3 Golden Laced Wyandottes. Going to new home on Thursday. Gives me a chance to enjoy some chicks. Cute lil buggers.

Haven't seen the sun they keep promising. Just feels so bitter cold. Hope it warms up soon.

It looks like my son's FRC robotics team will be going to STATE!!!
go to Ypsi where the state tournament is. So the ranks are up this morning and they're #16 in the state so far. Two more weekends of competitions but very unlikely they'd be bumped down to 65th.

10 dozen eggs in the fridge and the basket is full on the table. Won't somebody stop and buy eggs?

So when and where (exactly) is this competition? I would like to see it.
Ypsi is close to me and several other BYCers. We could have a Chicken Cheering Cadre.

I have to make a run to the supply store for shavings and starter food. Darn dog got into the chick feed and ate quite a bit. Ducklings need the brooder cleaned out every day because they are the messiest things in the world.

It's at the EMU Convocation Center, April 11-13. They usually run between 8-5 with a late start on the first day and an awards ceremony at the end of the final day. I like to go on Saturday. All day, intense championship rounds. Sometimes they livestream the tournaments online if you're interested but can't go.

All I know is a neighbor had one and I hated its call "help me" "help me"


I acquired some peacocks this week........... anyone know enough about them to tell me what I got? The only one I know for sure is the India blue male with the fancy feathers... the rest I think are either hens or juvenile male birds, and I'm guessing mutts, but any idea on the type or sex would be helpful!
