Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Not so funny! I just spent the last couple hours putting together a little coop. Getting the chickens this weekend probably. Not very good for cold so Spring HAS to be more than 50% ready!!!!

Spring is being subverted everywhere! I was in Cincinnati over the weekend, and got to walk outside with NO COAT!

The next day it started snowing. So we left.

I was there for a conference for counseling. I went to a session on pet therapy. I think I will get my dog and I certified to be official. Wondering about the potential of therapy chickens. Seeing the photo of grandma with the baby goat warmed my heart.

Lady, I have a lot of friends in GR who would LOVE farm fresh eggs. I know you don't live in town. Would it be worth it to you to come once every other week and sell your eggs at the farmers market? Or, maybe I could set something up directly with my friends?

I don't remember who was looking for a mille de fleur roo. Are you looking for a d'uccle? We have a mille de fleur d'uccle. So far our 4 week old isn't showing any sign of rooishness. If it becomes a roo and not a pullet, we'll need to rehome him. If you were looking for this bird, send me a PM and I'll keep you in mind.

I am sorry for the animal losses. And joyful for the photos of kids and chicks.

I am offering up some of my partridge rock hens. Born last August. Excellent layers. The reason being, I want to diversify my flock and I have 8 of those girls. Friendly and get VERY excited around treat time. They'll jump up and nip at your fingertips if your wearing nail polish just in case it might be something yummy. Beautiful healthy birds. Free to a good home. If interested pm me!

Hook us up! What parts of town? If they're in the path of my errands, or not too far out of the way, I'll gladly deliver. I tend to frequent Cascade, Lowell, Kentwood and sometimes I get out to Walker.

Greetings, It's late but work was long today. ihawes, I live right up the road from you, on Beard Rd. west of US52. Anyone interested in a nice young Belgian d'Uccle milliefleur cockrel? I've got one too many for my girls this spring. Mary

Looking for a home for my Blue Splash Orpington Rooster any takers? I got him last year at CS so he is not a year old yet, he is a big boy, big! He is trying to be bigger then my Blue Jersey Giant. I don't think I have to worry about hawks trying to carry them off, hahahaha

very sweet pony love to see the baby, what do you call a 1/2 pony,1/2 donkey?

She is actually a mini horse, and the offspring will be a mini mule.
She is either 8 or 9 years old (I'd really have to think to figure out how old she is) and this will be her first. She has an amazing personality, as does the Jack who I picked up last year for free (he was previously pictured as my avatar). The jack is four this year. Just have to get the DH moving on completing the birthing stall.

I would love for spring to actually progress to the point of mud here. The horses and chickens would all love to eat some fresh grass. Rolling in the snow just isn't the same as a good ole dust bath.

you call it a POKEY!

LOL!

Thanks farmer... that's what the "pea" people on their thread said too! Any idea of the value? Anyone want to buy a peacock or 5? Unfortunately, they can't stay because I don't want the noise!
Cute!

I would be interested in the IB female. Lost one of my two hens this winter. Would love to find a replacement.
