Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

The ladies have been adopted and are going to a good home. Thanks all for the interest!
Lady, I hate spring colds. They are the worst! Feel better soon.

Thank you Lisa!

Yes, the hens have been adopted by my friend. She and her husband, and their 5 kids, had their flock wiped out last fall by the neighbors dogs. He is going to replace/repair the fence damaged from the dogs (make is super secure), do a little coop maintenance since they haven't had chickens in there all winter, and then we'll introduce the hens (What are their names? LOL) to their new home. My friends are very grateful to be getting them & will give them a wonderful home. The eggs in my incubator right now were actually to start rebuilding their flock. This way they will be able to get eggs right away. Yay!!

Originally named after santa's reindeer :)

for the folks interested in the peacock hens, I'd be more than happy to sell them, if you take the males too! I just can't keep them and the hens are my leverage ( I think, LOL)........ willing to deal a bit too for bycers!
Tomorrow we close on our remortgage! Glad to be shaving a few extra yrs off it! May be able to retire after all!
We did some painting on the goats house last night....... man, oil paints sure do smell! But, I want it to hold up! We hope to get it done and outside for this nice weekend we got coming up! Maybe some fencing too!
Sorry about the pup... (they're all pups to me).... we also have one that's still hanging on, but she's not for this world much longer.
Going to set some more mystery eggs tonight.... see if I can get some more uggos and sumatra chicks! And testing some of the turkey eggs for fertility.
Have a good day!

I walked into a shop a couple yrs. ago and they had a wonderful coffee smelling candle, of course they were all out, haven't been able to find one since. Capacheeno but that is to sweet. know someone that sells a REAL coffee smell?
lost my other quotes?

I think it was bluebirdnanny with the coop that turned out to be to small, that is a pain, a little warmer would help in building a bigger one,

Snowflake, you may be able to place whole roasted coffee beans on a candle warmer (in a tin) and that might produce a coffee smell without needing to brew any. I know I had a couple candles made with whole coffee beans stuck in the wax and it smelled nice, but the tin it was in was poorly built and leaked wax all over.

Yankee candle makes a hazelnut coffee candle. Still might be too sweet though? Seems like there ought to be something out there. They make a candle for every scent it seems like.

She is actually a mini horse, and the offspring will be a mini mule.
She is either 8 or 9 years old (I'd really have to think to figure out how old she is) and this will be her first. She has an amazing personality, as does the Jack who I picked up last year for free (he was previously pictured as my avatar). The jack is four this year. Just have to get the DH moving on completing the birthing stall.

I would love for spring to actually progress to the point of mud here. The horses and chickens would all love to eat some fresh grass. Rolling in the snow just isn't the same as a good ole dust bath.

Cute!

I would be interested in the IB female. Lost one of my two hens this winter. Would love to find a replacement.
i think calling it a pokey is better than a hokey........ lol! can't wait to see pictures of him!
