Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It is a criminal case here in Garden City as well.
The prosecutor is citing "police powers"...

Stay tuned, Freedom Fans and Liberty Lovers.

Good morning all! Excited to hear that we are supposed to have some warm temps on Saturday. We are planning to head to the rabbit show in Mason so some sunshine and warmth would be nice. Thought I would share the pics of my son's birthday party. He is going to be 11 tomorrow so we celebrated on Sunday. I really can't wrap my mind around him being 11....when I just brought him home from the hospital....what happened to my baby!!

This is actually a giant rice krispy treat.

Happy Birthday to your son.. my dd turned 11 last december, she is my youngest..

Its gorgeous out there, got outside and pick up the dog poop carpet that accumilated during the snowy months.. and hens were singing their egg songs.. so have to go back out to get my eggs..

I am starting day 22 today at 1pm.. wonder if my chicks will ever hatch.. I am not watching them because then they wont hatch then.. I took the towel off so they get some light in the incubator. they are in my dd room, no window light at all.. and the other new chicks are in same room. so hopefully they hear them and want to come out and meet them someday..

any suggestions besides dont open, sit tight, and wait.. temp is steady i am keeping it on 100 now. and has good humidity.. chicks were live and moving yesturday am when candled..
2 egg,no pips or rocking yet.

this is worse then having a baby.. atleast with having a baby you know once you start labor your having it.. I look at these eggs and think wonder if they are going to ever hatch.. and will they still be alive when this is done and over with.. the not knowing is what drives ya crazy..

Thank you Randy, for your time and effort for all of us. If you don't think the city rules won't fall onto those of us in the country, think again. Eventually it could reach out to us. They are already trying to set distance limits on coops. It is sad, I know I am an old lady, but my parents raised the food they fed me. I raised most of the food I fed my children, I wonder if my garden will become illegal. Where does it stop? Maybe not in my time, but what will my grandkids have left for themselves. I love the time I have teaching my grands how to make things from scratch right from our garden. Some of my favorite memories are of my grandmother showing me how to make her recipes. If we dont fight this, we will lose more than we realize now. Ok, I am off my soapbox. Wow usually I am very quiet. Again Thank you to those who are fighting this fight for us,

Snowflake, you may be able to place whole roasted coffee beans on a candle warmer (in a tin) and that might produce a coffee smell without needing to brew any. I know I had a couple candles made with whole coffee beans stuck in the wax and it smelled nice, but the tin it was in was poorly built and leaked wax all over.

That's actually a really good idea!!!

Sarah, I was just thinking about you and your cochins the other day. I'll be working tomorrow. What story are you, the kids and Bluebell part of?

It'll be part of the Toddler Tails at the Humane Society story. I bring a chicken in every once in a while for the kids to see and pet. I like to think that maybe I am helping create future crazy chicken people by getting them used to chickens at a young age, haha.
