Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Look what I just picked up for $50 (sorry about the poor pictures)

I'm also sorry if you are one of the five people who apparently called about it after I did. Needs some cleaning up obviously but everything seems to run. I can't wait to get it all ready and test it out.

Anyone have any tips or tricks about using these things? there doesn't seem to be much info on the internet about this particular model.

Starbrightfarm@hotmail has laying pullets for sale. I really don't know what she has, but you can pm her, Shelley 1969 or email her or go on her facebook page and she what she has. She's in Brown City and has beautiful healthy birds.

Warm out there. Looks like it wants to rain again. Windy, but I'll take it.

Enjoy the day.......

So here's my gang of roos that I hatched, 3 out of 7, not too bad. They're about 5 weeks old and have been handled. Anybody interested? BO/EE cross. Shoot me a PM.

Mine came from the mystery red pullet box. I'll try to post a pic or two tonight. They were born March 5 and all have small combs, not really red, but some have some tinges of pink.

Are the combs red or just larger? Leghorns in particular get BIG combs so it would stand to reason but if they're red, that might be a... well... "red flag".

There is a long story behind this, but DH has gotten back his goat that a friend (who he originally got the goat from) Had put back with the other 2 goats for the winter. (We cared for last year due to their house burning down) Sadly, the other 2 are dead. Possible animan attacks, possible starvation. :(
Awww, poor goat. :( I hope he pulls through.

Your friends can still come. There isn't a dress code per se, but a bridal gown may be a bit over-dressed.
LOL! :)
Also - I really wish I could help you with your ducks - We just started talking about hopefully moving next year, so probabally not a good time to bring on more animals to move. :/
And the goat babies are five weeks old now! They're full of so much energy!

They are growing so fast! SO cute. I really wish I could get away with goats on my city lot. :)

Anyone living in Washtenaw (or near by counties).. the conservation district is having their annual plant order sale, but hurry, the end date is in a few days. http://washtenawcd.org/ps/treeplantsale.php If you're looking for native plants. I missed the tree sale, apparently you have to order in January........ but he put me on the mailing list this time so I won't miss it next year. It's a good source for seedling trees. I got a few hundred pines, oaks and other trees many years ago... and need to plant more!
Ooh, cool. I'll check it out. :)

I check craigs everyday! Good find cuppycake!!! I had looked for dog kennels and like yesterday, the kennels listed are the exact style as the new one I picked up last night.. for way more money! I paid 189.99 for a 10x10x6... that I'll set up as a 5 x 15... it'll fit perfect in the space I have for them. Only problem now is figuring out how to let them in or out of the run.

So very excited here! Attempting our first hatch, today is day 20 and we have cheeping and 2 eggs that are pipped ( I think that is what you would call it). We can hardly wait to see how many of these little darlings hatch out!
