Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It is nice to know that people care about me. Thank you all.

I'm just back from the courthouse.

The sentence is:
30 days in jail
6 months of reporting to probation
$905 in fines
Pay for the court appointed attorney
Comply with all city ordinances.

But the judge was "nice" and suspended the jail time. However, if I fail on any of the above details I will be thrown in jail. And since there are more ordinance violations next week that pretty much assures that I'm breaking the last condition.
this is just crazy.. they didnt jail you because there probably isnt room in there.. I cant even believe it even went as far as it did.. people are so stupid, waste of tax dollars thats for sure..
this should be breaking news on tv.. let the public know how the tax dollars are being spent, the court system should be out enforcing real crimes, like homicide, home invasion.. but no lets go get a chicken farmer.. they are a threat to society... should email your story to dateline..

expected the fine , (any thing to get your $$)
not surprised about the suspended jail time (to let you know "they are serious")
do not understand the probation,--------- have to report and do a pee test every so many weeks??
There is no way that I can come up with that amount of money, so I guess I'll wind up in jail anyway. A pee test wan't mentioned but it wouldn't surprise me.
That's not left, its crazy. We have enforceable laws on the books against animal abuse, creating a hazard, and smell, Having a law against owning a specific animal is a violation of our civil rights.
I didn't even think of the civil rights violation. There has been specific harassment and discrimination from the get-go. I guess the prosecutor got to "make an example of" me.
Raising quail for release in the wild while laudable usually isn't very effective.
There are specific rules for releasing into the wild. The DNR and Fish and Game are pretty serious about that kind of thing. Most people are not allowed to do it. Even licensed re-habbers have to jump through a lot of hoops.

Wanted to post this out here in case anyone was looking... we are looking to part with one of our Nubians....here's info and pictures if you know anyone interested :) We're near Lansing in Holt. PM me for info on her...Darla is 5yrs old.

RaZ-- I was thinking you need to get in contact with the Urban Farmer Guy in Flint-- he also teaches Karate I think. PBS did a documentary about him and his vision. Get a movement going, I think you will find support! I wish I had more to offer...

RaZ, that sucks. I don't know what else to say. It would be nice if the media would pick it up. Keep fighting and if there's anything we can do, let us know. You know we're all behind you.

I just finished spinning the first hank of yarn from my wether, Tartan. I'm going to knit it into a winter stocking cap for my husband. It's the darker hank on top. It's soft, no itchies and strong because of the long staple length (fiber length). The other two are alpaca and angora for color comparison.

Raz, Glad you skirted jail time for now, hopefully after the other violation reviews.... Can I help with a donation and/or come over and help with anything? PM me

I hope he meant that you're not to create any more violations - and if you can "correct" all that you're already charged with maybe he'll take that into consideration.

Pretty!!! I've always thought it would be cool to learn how to do those types of things! :)
