Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It's not too late to ask questions. Or demand answers.
I think the media is either unaware of this nonsense or they are choosing to ignore it. Some people on FB are trying to rally the reporters.

I'm logged onto Mlive right now, I got your back ;)
Let us know how we can help in any way. facebook pages, links, letter/email writing...

Also, if you need someplace for any of your birds to go until you're able to have them again I could take a few. I can either "foster" them and give them back later or buy them if you prefer that. Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I started writing a question but after seeing yours Raz, I think I should stand down. Mine was too emotional. I don't know the legal stuff. I'm reading though.

I used to try to get media involved with a non-related group years ago. It is a difficult task, guess that's why the PR Folks get paid the big bucks. LOL. Anyway, I found the best way was to send emails directly to Editors and Program Directors. Light 'Em up RaZ!!! O ya, FB is important too. You could start a Twitter Account and call it "ConvictedChickenKeeper" or something. Intellectual Property Copyright 2013 HDF. Only RaZ has my permission to use that handle. & RaZ, I'd bring the gang and we'd walk or cycle Lansing for your right to grow food! :)

Don't let emotions stall your questions. I know that some of the Ag Commissioners appreciate the passion that we bring to the table.

Interesting "live chat" with MDARD Director Jamie Clover Adams....apparently the MRTFA doesn't give people "rights".

"Michigan's Right to Farm Act provides an affirmative defense to nuisance lawsuits but does not give the landowner an entitlement or a "right" to conduct farming on their property. Conformance with GAAMPS is necessary but farmers also need to comply with all state and federal environmental and agricultural laws. More information is available on the MDARD website by typing in Right to Farm in the search box on the front page. I'd also encourage you to contact your local zoning officials."

I grabbed a screenshot of the article and the chat. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can pm it to you.

Raz I am so sorry this is happen to you, I can't believe this on gotten to this point.

Something crazy is happening to my daughter and her employer, she got fired because this is a "at will" state so they can fire you without having a reason. We are going to a board meeting today to ask questions, the library is ran by the board. Farwell.
