Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Oh right, 21st century. I'm still figuring someone might pop a tape in the vcr and catch it.

I just did the last candling. There are several more that look like they quit, but as I am not certain, I marked all the ones that I was not sure off. One was clearly NOT alive. SO, there are now 36 eggs in the bator.

Good
Phoenix- 17
WC polish- 2
Jap Bants- 3
Yoko- 1

Think they are bad
Phoenix-8
Pol -1
Japs-3
Yoko-1 (AND its not even the one I thought was bad and x'd on day 4)

Anyway, temp is working it's way back up. Humidity is up to 62%, still going up. I filled the two wells that bator directions called to be filled, and have a fish hose on standby to add water if needed through a vent hole.

I really hope both Yoko's hatch, and if not, hope the one is a girl.

Can anyone give me the good/bad/ugly on Button Quail. I am thinking of getting some; wondering if anyone will be bringing some to Chickenstock. Need to start small; can't have any "poultry" in Shelby Township (well, maybe....but with what RaZ is going through....I'm going to steer well clear of that right now). So...I thought Button Quail might be okay. How big of a space (pen, cage, coop, whatever) do I need?
How many should I start with? Don't want males...just females for the eggs. Are they good layers?

If anyone has info, please share!

Just watched you on the news, Raz. Love the shirt

Your neighbor is... well... this is a family site so I won't say what I really think. DH said "man, I want to buy the house on the other side of that guy just to mess with him" lol

Could have done without the backwoods banjo intro music, that was a little much (and slightly insulting), but I'm glad you got some media coverage and hopefully this opens the entire discussion to more people and get some serious debate on the subject.

Been sick. In Hospital since April 7. Multiple system failure following rotator cuff, shoulder joint replacement. Supposed to be on the mend now. Came home yesterday. My healing was nothing short of a miracle According to hospital staff. Good to be back. Not feeling so well though. Spent 11 days in ICU/CCU. 11 more in Phys. and Occ. Therapy of hosp. Wish me luck. Bob.

Glad your on the mend! Welcome back! GOOD LUCK!

Yuck! Get better, please. Yes, it does seem like it's going around (so to speak). My neighbor's son was in the ICU for his polio. The doctors don't know how to treat it and he's not doing so well. They were out of town for three weeks to be with him in the hospital. I can see the weariness in them from it.
I didn't know polio was still around. How sad to have that. I had an Aunt that had that it messed up her foot and leg really bad.
