Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Oh man, I missed you! I looked for you all over and couldn't find you. Sorry!

I didn't see you! I was over with Kimmie most of the time. And walking around looking for people I was supposed to be trading with, lol. I still have worms, plants, etc. left! Got most of what I was looking for except for a runner duck hen . . .

If you ever want to meet part way or are in the Fenton area ~ I work in Fenton once in awhile.

It's about 1/2 an hour south of me and a bit more north for you. I don't think I have any rescue functions or fundraisers that way for awhile.

I think everyone who attended will agree that today was another successful Chickenstock. The food was great as always, but the opportunity to visit with old friends and to meet new ones was wonderful. To those of you who spent any time talking with Granny I offer my heart felt appreciation. You certainly contributed to her having a wonderful day.

Granny did great at the sign-in/raffle table. As soon as I signed in she was pointing out people who were looking for me, lol.

Yes, ditto all of the above. I was especially fond of the quinoa salad, whoever made that *coughrecipepleasecough*

Glad to sell a pullet, some yarn and get Maah's birds where they belonged. If I hadn't had that mission to accomplish, I might have backed out (I'm not very personable... and chicken).

I didn't catch the name of the lady who was looking to get that fleece spun (from Eaton Rapids?) but I'll have the contact info as soon as my BIL sends it to me. Was it one of you? A relative? Didn't have a name tag. I will remember to bring a pen next year, and business cards.

I'm a loner to. I always hope I don't come off as "aloof" but generally do better talking to chickens than people.

It was good seeing you all, even if I didn't get around to say hello to everyone. I'll second the quinoa salad request, yum!

Same here - my mother was upset because I was going to this but I generally try to skip the family reunions every year. And all of the family get-togethers in between, lol.

Thank you for those who shared or traded for the wonderful plants - they are going to keep me busy tonight and tomorrow. And thank you for the strawberries Mish (yumm!) - I shared a couple with the chickens and now they won't leave me alone!!! Glam, I love the pysanky, too, it's just beautiful.
Kimmie - thank you for letting me hang with your family. I love your mom! She reminds me so much of my Grams . . .
