If we run another freebie promo, I will try to remember to let you know. This is to help build the fan base for future titles. (Not a series... each individual, stand-alone novels.)

Oh..and on a chicken note. So, no green eggs from Partridge (EE, that looks like Candy's Hawkie) for 3 days; she's been laying daily & I was sure she made a nest in the woods cuz she'd be missing for an hour & one of the days I saw her coming out. Well, found the nest today & all 3 eggs were there. Cannot believe a raccoon or the skunk that's been hanging around didn't get them! Today, she decided to lay in the nest box ... Silly girl

To hard boil fresh eggs:

Bring water enough to cover eggs by 1" to boil in a pan. Lower the eggs gently into the simmering water one at a time with a slotted spoon - eggs should not be packed in together. Cover and simmer for 13 minutes (large egg). Immerse immediately in very cold (ice) water.

Someone asked recently about a coop cam...
I have a game can that I picked up at Menard's for around $60. Wildgame Innovations is the brand.

I bought the lowest price one (~$60), it works day and/or night, can shoot still hi-res photos or video. The sequence of still shots can be programmed form 15 seconds to 2 minute delays.
I checked it this afternoon and found that the city has once again visited my property. That explains why my gate was left open and unlatched. They always seem to come by when I am not home. Wonder why?

That's a great picture from a game camera. I wish I had seen this before I bought mine. In your next "court session" I would raise hell about them screwing up your security, you have photos to prove guilt. How come they have the right to enter your property to "search" for possible violations? Isn't that what search warrants are for? Why isn't this a civil rights violation?

I have been raising "concern" about rights violations. And I pointed out that they have no "right" to violate MY rights.
This is a case of standing up to a bully. Let the games begin (continue).

I did sample my Montmorency Cherry Wine and found it retains the bouquet of fresh picked cherries, has a tart start and a fairly high alcohol level. Not the usual dessert cherry. Less sweet. I'm liking it. I could add a simple syrup and raise the sugar but decided no. It should pair up well with pizza throughout the winter! Apple is next.

I'm just getting ready to bottle the Pear/Cranberry. Then got to make the peach and the nectarine. I've never made cherry wine, sounds lovely.
