A bit thank you to 1muttsfan for recommending those mouse traps. A WONDERFUL invention. I won't confess to the huge number of mice we have caught and continue to catch. Lots of itty-bittys that we could never have caught with an old school trap. My question is the last few mornings every mouse has been dead inside the trap when I go to check them. Is it the weather or do I need to be concerned about mice dying off and some mouse disease?

Also if anyone is interested I have some bantam WCB Polish roos who need homes. Decent boys but I have 4 and they are starting to be picked on.

Regarding the white hen, I was also thinking Delaware, or Coronation Sussex could be another possibility if she has white legs. A clear, closer shot from the side may be more helpful.

x2 on what mutts said . . . . . . .

But didn't she say the pullet layed a WHITE egg! I thought Delawares and Sussex laid cream or beige eggs.

Yes, there is no telling, maybe she is a mix. I can't think of any white egg layers that come in that color pattern. Some very pale tan eggs can look white when compared to brown eggs. My Jaerhons lay a "white" egg that is actually pale cream.
