Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

It would help if you wrote, emailed, or called: the governor, the ag committee, anyone you know in government, and tsc, ffh, ect. About the changes in gaamps. I posted my letters, but we need someone better "qualified" to give us a template letter. Could someone post letters for the rest of us to copy and alter?
Our Roost if you go to one of Raz's posts, at the bottom I think is a link to the small farm council, there is probably help there. Or you could read back on here for the explanation.
There is no one more qualified to describe how this may affect your farm than you. The people that spoke on Wednesday offered sincere and heartfelt thoughts that can not be conveyed in a template.

We can provide a few common talking points that you can put into your own words but the best letter is from your heart. If anyone would like a bit of editorial help with their individual letter, I would be happy to assist if I can.

Well it seems today is the day to get pounded with more snow and wind. Plus side work closed early and I got sent home because of the whiteout, Negative is having to drive home in it. 1mutt I bet it's as busy on your end of the bridge as mine. There were trucks parked in every available spot. I passed DH plowing on the way home, they are doubled up one behind the other plow truck. I'm a bit worried my son is out in it with my parents and grandma. My birds are all closed up. I decided this morning I wasn't going to let them out with the way they were predicting things for today. I gave them apples to snack on so hopefully all is well.

I'm starting to get worn out with all of the chicken politics of late and I need a diversion. I need a bit of motivation to fire up my woodshop and start making some things.

How many people would be interested in bluebird houses, wren boxes, wood duck boxes or any other type of bird or bat house?

From what I've read if it goes black then yes. If it's a grey color I've read some get better. I had a leghorn x have tips go a darker grey last year, but didn't lose any tips. I'm more worried this year because of the extremes. Mine didn't have any problem with the first cold snap, but as the temps went to more normal and back down again is when I saw the tips turning.
