Exactly..that's a pretty one. My two Marans just finished their molt & are laying very nice Jumbo ones daily. I now have about 5 shades of brown & green. Wynette could probably "grade" your eggs for ya, too..this is what it looks like, this one was on the marans club of america, just google marans egg chart, should get about a bazzilion hits.![]()
Thanks. Do you know if they sell ducklings?
Thats a great Pic!
That does indeed sound pleasant...something to keep in mind. All you need is some hardwood, a fire pit, and a big pot. Really no cost (if you have trees to cut) other than sweat equity. I do use a chainsaw on the wood but split by hand! Using propane (especially this year) is cost prohibitive. The Amish sell it cheaper than you can make it that way. Some of the tree services give away hardwood. You really don't need much if you do small batches. A small batch is 50 gallons of sap to make a gallon, or so. Nothing like sitting by the fire all day and smelling like woodsmoke come dinner time, lol!
Pekings, cambles, & runners.
No mallards of any kind anymore due to some new law TSC has to follow. Apparently folks have been turning rouan and pet mallards loose in the wild and just like the mute swans, they are not native and is wrecking the eco system by eating wildlife plants that is for our native waterfowl and are over populating. Im not sure of all detailed reasons as I dont work weekends (I work at TSC) and reasons was issed yesterday. So I will know more tomorrow.
