Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Menards always seems to have a game cam in their "Day After Thanksgiving" sale ad ever year. I wouldn't be surprised if they have it again this year. I bought one for DH a few years ago & it's worked fine. He uses it here too at night to find out which unwanted critters are hanging around.

went out and got a cheap game cam and large live trap..... ($$ eeks!!) I'm done playing! My poor turkey was chased all over our yard.. and darn near every feather plucked out of her before she finally got taken. This was my only chocolate hen.

btw, the reason the cam was cheap was cause there was no memory card.......... now I have to go out and get one of those too! ERrrrrrrr!

Thankfully SD cards are really cheap nowadays, a 1 or 2 gigabyte one is all you need. I remember the first flash drive I bought that had 1 gigabyte of storage space...set me back darn near $200.

not sure if I'd call 30$ cheap...for the type of card it called for.... I should have gotten the dual pk but it was more $. Oh well, wish us luck, trap is set with the turkey carcass and the trail cam is ready to go

What type of card does it need? A 64 gigabyte SD card (both microSD and normal) will set you back about $30...which is waaaay more storage space than a game camera needs. This 8 gigabyte SD card at walmart is about $5.

I have 1 hen hatch 7 chicks and there is 4 mommas as all wanted the job. So since all get along I'm good with it as it gives the chicks lots of protection. But I too love when all poof up being protective over them or when all 4 mommas find a goodie and cluck for the chicks and their in 4 diff directions. Then the chicks run back n forth not sure who has the best treat.
that is cool, I just had one of the mamma's peck me in the leg for picking up her chick, (love jeans) my older birds never cared if I picked up their chicks,
