Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Good Luck!

Thanks!
Just got the blind back up, and hopefully, VERY secured!
We were having sustained 25mph winds with 40mph gusts yesterday. The stakes that came with the blind were useles...replaced them with ones that stick 8" further into the ground. This baby isn't going anywhere!!

The deer showed up like clockwork last nite at 7:10pm....and looks like this evening is going to be a gorgeous evening to sit...
I need to tie the score up to 1-1 between DH and I :D

Your CL buy is way cool...though I'd have no clue how to use it!!

You'll need to change the name of your farm to Peep Holler when you fire up the massive bator. Probably good time for an electrical upgrade to maybe 1000amp service, lol!

I got the little giant used for 30 bucks with an automatic egg turner, and circulating fan. Have not used it yet. Never hatched a chick. Maybe someday...

shoot... I can't afford that big old honkin thing... it would cause the whole village to black out if I turned that on! LOL!

Don't do it. Way too much stress. I'mm never do it again.
I did let a first time broody sit some eggs. Even that was stressful. Only one hatched out of 7, 2 died right after hatching.

It is stressful, I'll give you that. But also very rewarding! I purchased a used bator from someone here, and love it! I've hatched over 100 chicks with it! I'll be hatching again in spring. I use my own BYC mutt eggs. Its egg-citing to watch what comes out of the shell! All descendants of the same flock, but such different colors and personalities.
I vote to give it a try ;-)

I couldn't help but laugh. So I let the chickens out, and two of my girls (who are best friends) lost each other. When they saw each other they flew and crashed in air. Ones a excellent flyer so after that she flew onto the roof :lau

All the chickens are running in flying. Holly was playing in the leaves lol
